More reasons I'm loving my Squape:

I'm clumsy as hell and my poor SQR been taking tumbles onto and off of tables left and right without anything happening to the glass ... appears it's very well insulated against shock.

Since I put a 6 wrap 30ga double twisted 7/16''ID Kanthal coil coming in at 1.11ohms (thanks again Roxy!) it's been working so well I haven't wanted to take it out, but I've been itching to try out different builds. This morning I just completely removed the screws and pulled the coil and wick out together and set those aside while I spent the day building. I wasn't able to get a better build going than what I had so a few minutes ago I just completely removed the screws again and placed my old coil, cotton wick and all, right back where it used to be, tightened everything down and BAM. Working b-e-a-utifully again. I didn't even get juice on my fingers :D

It does seem to be the build for it! I'm going to correct that its 7/64" ID though, just in case others want to try it :)

Had the Squape R for a couple of weeks now and I must say it's a great atty. Easy to rebuild and the flavour...It puts out, on the money ! A bit on the expensive side but you do get what you pay for. Bought the clone at first and it was janky as hell, shorts, leaking, lot's of problems. They did give me my money back, so I guess I'm not at loss here. The only thing that "bothers" me is that you need a Alan key to get it cleaned. Other then that, almost perfect, will have to see how the kayfun 4 measures to it :)

Haha nice. Ya I didn't know about it until like yesterday either. Glad I was able to score one! I'll likely put my squape on the classifieds, just not having luck with it and have done a billion cotton arrangements, both rayon and kgd

Question, do you have a wide deck? I have had the squape R for a couple of months now and every single build has been working perfectly.

I was still feeling like I could get a little more out of the SQR so I twisted up 3 strands of 30ga with a power drill until it broke. First I re-built the same coil: 6wrap 7/64''ID which came in at ~0.8ohms. VP and FP were incredible, damn close to a dripper, but I was getting burnt hits from chain vaping after only 3 hits. So I added another wrap to bring it to 0.97ohms and it's been tasty and VP is closer to what I've been looking for. Seems the SQR's sweet spot with the W-deck and cotton hovers around 1 ohm, on a mech anyways. Once Santa brings me some more wire gauges I'm gonna try to step it down to about 0.9ohms if I can, but I doubt she'll like going any lower than that.

I've gone as low as 0.7ohms no problem, bare in mind it was single micro coil....
Amazing little device!!!

Since it has been out of commission for weeks now and my base is arriving later this week just wanted to get up to date on how to build with cotton on the W deck...as i kept getting dry hits...

Do i drape the cotton all the way down the sides?
OR
Let the cotton sit just 1 mm over the edge?

Also how much cotton do i use?

IVe used all my skills learning the gp spheroid in the mean time lol so i kinda forgot how build with the squape.
Am sure it will all come running back when i receive it. :)

I trim it right against the edge of the deck or it seems prone to dry hits. Never dry hits that way.

Now my clone has a chimney that rubs the deck edges as I screw the base to the tank so I have to make sure not one strand of that wick sticks out or it will pull my wick out of the slot.

Junny, out of curiosity did StattQualm ever get back to you?

Yes they did, they were very sympathetic to my situation. As its Christmas, they offered tho ship me out a new base with a good discount :vapor:
Have to say though, amazing customer service, very very helpful. I spoke to the CEO!!
I could not be happier!!

He did say though watch out for 2015, some awesome new items are coming this way from StattQualm. Cant wait!!
