Once you get a device and juice combination down, that works for you, it helps a lot.
I sure hope so. I've ordered a kGo and some Boge's, and I ordered some Bloog cartos for my manual volt. Found out the reason I'd gone back to analogs was I was refilling cartos too many times -- I assume that, even if not clogged or burnt, it eventually increases the resistance WAYYYY too much.

There is plenty of factual evidence (besides the thousands and thousands of people on ECF),
I read somewhere that ecigs deliver little or no nicotine. I assume that means that if I smoke medium-strength analogs that means I need 24 mg in ecigs -- 12's and 18's sure don't satisfy. Maybe it depends on pg vs vg too? And for some weird reason, I seem to be unable to coordinate my inhalation timing on ecigs, with the exception of Blu disposables. Having to draw longer than on an analog seems to confuse my throat.

I'd love it if someone would do blood-nicotine tests on various combinations of nic, pg, vg, voltage, and compare to analogs.

...i usually just laugh it off when my husband says that, as he often does. but not today, when he said it while passing through the kitchen, and added, "seriously, you need therapy." :glare:

i thought about how WRONG he was as i threw the burger onto the plate...no, i wasn't eating. i was making hamburgers...actually *making" them -- you know, forming them into patties...yeah, with one hand...while vaping with the other...yeah, not normal...

but the really scary part? -- i didn't even realize i was doing it until he made the comment...wow, i must've gone totally insane...which only goes to prove my point about him being WRONG -- as no amount of therapy is going to help when you're *that* crazy.

:vapor:

E-cigarettes is the best therapy!

Attack the need first. If 18 doesn't work for you go for 24, if that doesn't 36mg.

Believe me one of these will hit the mark.

After that is the fun part and can be expensive part of addressing the want. Finding something you want to vape.

I was lucky in that I started with 12mg that wasn't quite enough went to 18 and the juice I tried is still my fave juice.

I got bored in a real hurry with topping of cartos so got a tank, followed by another couple. Turns put that the carto lasts longer, you are not messing around topping it off all the time and get a satisfactory vape yep with a LR Boge.

Can't talk about the cigalike experience as I avoided that as I didn't want to start with anything that looked or felt like a cig to break that link immediately.

If it works for you cool that is best for you but I didn't want an under powered short duaration device. So being clever started with an Ego, that turns out to be one of the most under powered devices out there at a regulated 3.4 volts lol Lasts a while though.

The only time I just keep on vaping is when I'm not being satisfied. Whenever the throat hit is reasonable and the flavor is good, I just take a hit now and then. But, when there's something lacking, I keep trying and trying until I get it right or just can't take anymore.

I no longer feel I have to smoke the whole cigarette to avoid wasting money. I just take a hit whenever I feel like it then lay it down. My kids always complained that I let more burn up then I actually smoked. I just always felt the need to have one lit and ready. Now I don't. It's always ready. I just have to carry it around, and it's always ready!

I almost never put mine down for any length of time. It IS my pacifier. That's why vaping works so much better than any other method of quitting smoking for so many people.

As a matter of fact, have you noticed how much some PV's look like baby bottles? Take a tube mod, add a tank and one of those fancy, fat drip-tips, and voila! Looks just like a baby bottle!

DancingHeretik, that's one thing I noticed I like about vaping right away. When I smoked, I felt obligated to smoke the whole thing, because the dang things were so expensive. With vaping, I often just take a couple of puffs. I don't like the term "toot" as used by many to describe vaping. Years ago that was a common expression for c0caine use, I don't want to be misunderstood.

A side note? When I first saw the title of this thread I misread the letter O as a number 0. I initially thought it was going to be about 0mg juice...

In any addiction, there is a term for this.

"chasing the dragon"

Once you've had a good vape, it's all you want. You will vape and vape, and vape some more, until you get it again.

I read somewhere that ecigs deliver little or no nicotine.
Don't go by what you read somewhere, go by what studies have shown.

I strongly suggest that if you want to learn about nicotine delivery from electronic cigarettes, you read this post...
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...nicotine-second-hand-vapor-3.html#post4937079

The real answer is that it depends, and delivery can be almost no nicotine, or just as much as cigarettes.
And the post above will show you how it can vary so widely.

I was at the 2 week mark when I first left my 1100mah in the kitchen when I went to bed. I thought I was weak for taking that long to part with it at night and not have it at least within arms reach at all times! Lol

The rest of the day is a different matter, although I have tried walking out of the house without it for a few minutes at a time. Lol I also have a lanyard for when it may fall out of my pocket. I had to then buy 'thread cover cones' to keep the lanyard on when I was using a clearo instead of a Star Dust. My wife has been very accepting of all these little things because she has seen me go through EVERY quitting system known.

At least by getting nicotine from vaping I do not get 'out of sorts' (to put it mildly) and have everyone near me suffer.

I am Relaxing and Enjoying!

"OMG, Do You Ever Put That Thing Down?!"

Only if I've lost it in which case I'm lost. Well, to be honest, I did drive away from the office today to get my afternoon delight, iced tea, and realized I left it on my desk. I actually got through the entire 8 minutes it took to get the tea and get back to my desk, whew, close one.

Mine broke earlier today. I had no vape for over 3 hours. OMG it suuuuuuuuuucked! Mental note, leave old eGo in my case just in case. Thing is, I often will have it with me in places where I can't vape, and I just like being able to touch it. Nope, I don't have issues. Nope, none.

You good people are a God send. I've been in recovery for other addictions for 30+ yrs. That wasn't as hard as it might have been because the hand writing was on the wall. I was going to die and I guess I wanted to live.

Cigarettes are more cunning, baffling and powerful. They, too, were killing me but much more slowly. Hypnosis, gum, will power, Welbutrin, nothing worked. I was amazed when I found vaping so satisfying. So amazed, in fact, that I didn't believe it and I kept trying analogs, even sometimes when I didn't really want one. Then I realized that I was going out the shop to smoke and would use my PV instead. Hurray!!!

I suspect anybody who is still smoking, and is critical of us, is feeling threatened. Whatever the reason, let's not go there with them. To paraphrase Faith Hill: "Just Vape"

Yeah, I know the feeling.... Hubby is the same way.... "do you EVER put this thing down????" Nope, I rarely do! But the second hand thing doesn't work with him, he's a smoker and refuses to even TRY ecigs...... So, I just shrug it off. But he still gets his kiss. LOL!

My hubs USED to say that to me; he was a bit superior as he quit cold turkey. He's a lot quieter about it now since he fell off the wagon and started smoking again. And the answer is, "NO, I never put this thing down".

Yes! I get the look too. But I can't help myself- I LoVe my mod! But I wouldn't want to get any pink slime on it ;)

btw, i'm surprised no one questioned whether or not i washed my hand(s) first!...i definitely did (both of them!), but i guess i picked up my pv right after, without thinking (and apparently, i wasn't thinking for a long time after that, too.).

Addiction is a funny thing. People can be addicted to various aspects of smoking; physical, mental, ritual. I have an uncle that smoked for 50 years. He cold-turkeyed 10 years ago. I haven't had a cigarette for one year, one month and one day now. I saw him recently, he good-naturedly chides me for still vaping after I have quit smoking. During the discussion he commented to me the if he smoked one cigarette right now, he would be smoking again immediately. I thought how horrible it must be, to still have that hanging over your head for ten years.

I pointed out to him that I don't want a cigarette, and after not smoking a while, I think they are very unpleasant. He didn't understand that, either. Perhaps he should start vaping!
