That is exactly the reason those cold-turkey zealots disturb and upset me so much...Addiction is a funny thing. People can be addicted to various aspects of smoking; physical, mental, ritual. I have an uncle that smoked for 50 years. He cold-turkeyed 10 years ago. I haven't had a cigarette for one year, one month and one day now. I saw him recently, he good-naturedly chides me for still vaping after I have quit smoking. During the discussion he commented to me the if he smoked one cigarette right now, he would be smoking again immediately. I thought how horrible it must be, to still have that hanging over your head for ten years.
I pointed out to him that I don't want a cigarette, and after not smoking a while, I think they are very unpleasant. He didn't understand that, either. Perhaps he should start vaping!
I am pretty sure many of them still think about/crave/want a cigarette every now and then, if not constantly.
They firmly believe (the zealots) that they are doing people a favor by warning them off electronic cigarettes...
--Talking a bunch of garbage about how you're still addicted to the nicodemon
--Pretending like they are so happy they are no longer a slave, when I know many still are
That's no life for me.
