Saw someone link to the V3 nic at Nude for long term storage
I thought the V2 nic at Nude was the one that has the top that you withdraw from with a blunt tip and the V3 was one they developed for long term storage as per the chemical make-up. Does the v3 have the same top as the v2?

The V3 has "ascorbic acid" added to it which supposedly stops the oxidation. Just like it stops an apple slice from turning brown. V3 lacks the special valve, presumably it is not needed with the ascorbic acid.

Both V2 and V3 are intended for long term storage.

I'd love to buy from you but $70 in shipping is too steep for me...

He isn't selling ;) Just a link for you was all he dropped there. Vendors are not allowed to promote their wares on the open forum. Keeps the forum honest, you could say? In other words, you know that the advice of how devices and such actually work (if they are bad or good) is from people that actually are using the things. That their experiences are what they have observed while using said products. That the experience is not from someone that is trying to push the product.

Welcome to the Forum! :D

I got my 100 mg/ml in PG because I also use 80/20 (6mg/ml juice) and the amount of nic liquid will be so small it won't come out to more than my 20%, or even close. Plus PG is less viscous and should be easier to handle right out of the freezer.
agree,, because once its out of the freezer and thawed at room temp for the day or whatever you choose,, you will still need to 'shake it up' before putting it into your dispenser bottles (if that is your plan).

my question is......lets assume 8/8 is our Nic dead line,,,,does anyone think the price of Nic will drop sharply around/after July4?

It's a gamble. I think it's possible for the cheaper nics like NicSelect, MFS, Heartland, etc to drop in price. OTOH- I could see the premium nics like VT and NN going up in price. It's really hard to say to be honest. I'm not going to take any chances. I plan on being done with my nic purchase this month.

My "Crystal Ball" is cracked....
I have no clue what is going to happen in 2 months/years.
The only 2 things I feel confident about are:
  • That "Winter is Coming"
  • "I" will be ok, I paid my insurance premiums.....
I have a liter 100mg split up into glass bottles,, I technically am fine with 0 nic,, but I want enough just incase my husband finally drops the cigs. (that is not likely to happen,, but I would rather be prepared for him)

and I am trying to 'guestimate' what he would need,, since he does 'sample' the 6mg quite a bit,, and assuming he went through 50mls a day for say 10-15 years. (his health isn't the best)

fasttech,, moved pretty quick this time around. Ordered May 27,, been sitting in Chicago since June 1,, waiting,,,,,waiting,,,,e-pack shipping- 1st time
I bought 2 griffin's (clones I assume)
2 mech mods,,
2 pico's (I didn't notice the color until it was too late..i will survive lol)
we have 2 topboxes, 2 neboxes, a few drippers and my SXK Corolla.
several kanger rba coil heads,
enough kanthal of 4 sizes,, in a pinch I could twist the thin stuff
135 years/500 years of Rayon lol

current FT basket is a variety of adaptors, glass tanks, a couple more mech mods, variety of orings/grub screws, a couple of 'kicks' 2 chips boards for the topboxes, a couple of Kayfun attys, a few more of the kangertech coil head rba things

non FT items: I have glass jars and bottles,,a few more on the way. considering a label maker because my handwriting is really starting to annoy me. (hand damage),, been looking at glue dispensers because of the really long ss needle tips (I only want the lids/tips,, not the plastic bottles unless I can tell they are safe)

any other suggestions? there are no kids to worry about,,, plenty of room in our normal freezer.

If he used 50ml of 6 mg nic per day you'd need 5-1/2 liters of 100mg nic for 5 years of vaping.

Lets say he drops the cigs, but needs 18mg juice to do so.
At 50ml a day thats 900mg per day.
900x365=328500
15 years would require:
328500x15=4927500
If you bought 100mg nic (100,000 mg of nic in a liter) you would require 49 liters

50ml @ 6mg would require a little over 16 liters of 100mg base.

I gotta say though, 50ml a day consumption seems high. I used to inhale cigars. I vape 36mg nic, but I only vape 5-8ml a day.

All the calculations are explained pretty well here:

I vape 30-60 (depends if its mixing day or not) of 0-2mg nic. all of my juice is mixed 0,, then I add the nic at time of use/or not,, kind of depends on stress levels or level of brain farting :0)

at 6 mg is about his limit,, he says its too strong above that. I could slowly get him down to 3mg, if he would just stick with it.

My oldest stock of freezed nic is in smaller 30ml -120 ml amber glass bottles that I bought just for that purpose. The nic in my freezer from last fall and the nic I just received is/will be stored in pint size canning jars I already owned since I can vegetables. Before putting in the freezer I convert my 100mg nic down to 50 mg nic, fill jar, cover and write the contents and tape with packing tape on the jar and then cover the jar with tin foil to keep the small amount of light away from the nic when opening the freezer door and put a strip of painters tape around it again writting the contents on the tape a second time. It then goes into the plastic tray on the shelf in my freezer that is dedicated to nic only. Eventually 10 years or more from now when I need to start using one of the pints I'll break down a bottle to smaller amber bottles to minimize the number of times I'm opening a bottle being used.
