Since you're discussing the ProTanks, what are you using for your wicks in those. I've always used Silica, I've tried using the organic cotton, and it just produces no taste.

I'd like to stock up with something, but just curious what's currently being used for those for rebuilding.

I'd gotten insulators from Kidney Puncher, not sure if they still have them though...I'll check.
Negative. None in stock. I'll check my invoice at home and see if they were called something else.

If the site sells pure nicotine, it cannot be linked on ECF. This is one rule that is set in stone and will not be changed. There are far too many who would not take the proper precautions.

Understood and feel it is in the best interest of ECF - with continual New Members Joining and jumping into discussions they do not understand and may not have the skill set to develop a safe understanding.

*Sorry to those in disagreement, but I spent years trying to make people understand a simple 5 pin no/nc relay and many just never got it. Even though it was part of their Job, they never understood why what went where or how it worked. Even a simple pictorial pamphlet did not help. Years

Based on some of the truly irresponsible advice I've seen and received at B&Ms, I fully agree.

Based on some of the ill advice I have seen on ECF, I have to disagree.

One on one Sharing is far less harmful than Random exposure.
Hazmat experience, I would think, comes with contained controlled training for proper personal safety and the safety of others.

I always used cotton. It seemed to give a lot better taste than the stock coils. I never tried using silica in the coils I made myself. Sometimes cotton takes a while to get broken in before the taste comes through. And I know it took me a lot of trial and error to get the wicks working good when I first started. I've used 3 or 4 types of cotton and never noticed any difference between them.

When I first started rebuilding protank heads I tried silica and a couple of different cottons that I other people seemed to rave about. I guess I couldn't get down the wicking methods they were explaining.

I settled on non murcerized 100% organic cotton yarn. It work ok at first but the flavor was really inconsistant and I had to be real careful not to burn the wick, could only get to 9.5 watts at best.

Then I figured out that the short "tails" that everyone showed in the youtube vids was wrong.
Once I got more wick in the tank it was all good. I vape at 12.5 to 15 watts now, great consistance flavor.

Okay, I'll keep playing with the cotton, and I'll try some of the organic yarn mentioned as well.

I have no problem with the cotton in my RTA's.
Just really weird.

This pre-made coils is what I use to rebuild mine. It is the easiest way I have found to do it for me. I could probably wrap my own coils but why do it when this is so easy. They have 4 silica wicks but you can also get them with 1 wick. I have tried the 1 wick but prefer the 4 wick.

I have never tried that. But I should try several different things, really.

This pre-made coils is what I use to rebuild mine. It is the easiest way I have found to do it for me. I could probably wrap my own coils but why do it when this is so easy. They have 4 silica wicks but you can also get them with 1 wick. I have tried the 1 wick but prefer the 4 wick.

I have used the pre-made too, when I get lazy, not those though, I've bought the full replacement coil (with hardware).
I rebuilt my own protank coils for about a year and a half, then switched to carto tanks, now using RTA's too.
Just getting back to using the protanks for out and about, and stocking up for doomsday.
Want to cover all options.

If you are using Evods or a PT without the air adjustable base, drill one of the air holes out with a 1/16" drll. I will make a BIG flow difference. With the Rayon, you'll be shocked at the amount of Vape.

I also leave my rebuilt Evod coils with the chimney out. Then, when I'm ready to recoil, I put some juice right on the wick/coil do a quick mini burn THEN put the chimney in. That way there is no chance of a partial dry hit and less chance of a first few weird tastes vapes.

Almost all the info I found said to cut them even with the base flange then I remembered one video that showed a different way.

I leave them twice as long and use a sewing needle to feed the rest between the atomizer body and the tank base.

You have to experiment, I actually got them to wick to good at one point.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I love that it glows,been playing with but the feel... bought a few wraps for $1

I'd give it a while and see if it keeps bothering you. To be honest, I don't even notice it now that I've used it a few times.
