I'm up to 9 Stainless RTA's now. I have 3 kayfun 3.1's and 3 Kayfun 4's. There's a Lemo Drop, an Orchid V4, and a Squape. It's nowhere near enough, though. I'm shopping closeouts and deals as I find them.

Im not worried about wicking materials or wire, but I need to lay in some wire stock for the future while I'm thinking about it. That, and some hardware to maintain the screws, o-rings, replaceable 510 parts, and glass/PMMA parts on my tanks. I have a bag full of o-rings and screws in multiple Kayfun rebuild kits, all ziplocked together.

It's the juice thing that I'm going to have to take care of. I've resisted serious DIY, but it's something I'm going to have to start doing.

I think you are doing well with the Kayfun clones. I'm primarily a dripper, but I like them very much. Good flavor and great for MTL. For RDAs, my favorite so far, and the one I'm stockpiling is the Derringer (clone from Fasttech). Easy to build (single or dual coil), great flavor, and very adjustable airflow. Spare parts are plentiful and cheap. I've got a box of RDAs I've tried, including the Quasar, and they don't compare. I think the small chamber design does it. Before finding the Derringer, I was a 510 atty dripper myself. Didn't think I'd find anything that I liked better, but now I have no urge to use those 510s at all.
Height is generally a flavor killer.

OK. One More.

It's the Post-Apocalypse. And your Favorite mod's 510 thread are getting Wobbly. What do you do? What do you Do?

Well, If you had one of these ...

$1.95 510 Heat Dissipation Heat Sink for Atomizers - stainless steel / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

... you could screw it onto your Mod and then Never have to screw an Atty onto those Wobbly Mod threads again. Just leave it on your Mod and away you go.
I have been looking for these for a while - thank you! My searches just kept coming up with little extenders that looked like they work on an ego.

I've been stocking up STMs. Have lots of parts, but where to get PEEK insulators? I think my fasttech search skills need some sharpening.

Also, saw a couple folks talking up the Wine RTA earlier on this thread. Been thinking about getting a few of those, especially since the STM o rings aren't standard, but the Wine o rings look pretty basic, and will be available on the open market (I think). But I saw a review that the Wine doesn't have adjustable air flow, is this right?

Thanks again all.

P.S. Man my bank account is seriously hurtin. Every time I get vapemail my wife looks at me like I've completely lost my mind. I keep telling her she's gonna thank me later.

I really didn't like my DIY juice years ago but since I started again I am really liking it :) One thing I didn't know about years back was if you get a perfume taste just leave the cap off your juice for awhile to Let it air out and that helped me make better juice.

You are Correct. The Wine RTA has no adjustable Air Flow Control.

So what you have is Two Options. You can run it as is and the Air Flow is similar to a Subtank Mini in the 2 Hole Mode. Or, if you like a more Restrictive hit, you can Plug one of the side holes and it hits similar to a Subtank Mini in 1 Hole Mode.

If you're looking for a RTA that has Wide Open air flow so you can run Higher Watts more for clouds, the Wine would Not be a good choice. But if you looking for a Flavor RTA and like a Medium to a more Restrictive Hit, then you will probably Love the Wine RTA.

Here is a Closed ( :-x ) Thread about the Wine RTA.

SXK Nebula Wine RTA

BTW JAFYI If you like to Tinker with things. If you take a Wine RTA and File/Sand about .120" of the RBA Cover it will make the RTA .120" shorter. Cutting the RBA down reduces the Chamber Size. And makes the Flavor Even Better.
And then you can use a Subtank Mini Glass section on it.

I say this if you like to Mod Things. And have a Good Way/Some Experience shortening Thread Parts. And a Accurate way to Measure.

I'm MTL at 1.0 ohm and 20 watts. STM is fine for me on restrictiveness. Love the STM, but will likely buy a few Wines due to the generic o rings and to just diversify the tank portfolio for security. I'll check out the wine thread to make sure - thanks again.

As far as tinkering goes...filing, sanding, cutting, drilling...ummm no. DIY juice and building my own coils is where I draw the line. But here's to all you handy men and women out there...I may come crawling to your door, begging for help in 10 years! :toast: :)

The Wine RTA really Doesn't need to be Mod-ed. It is a Great Flavor tank straight out of the Box.

I just did it because I noticed that a ST Mini glass would fit. And at the time I bought the Wine, there was No Replacement Glass for it.

I saw that in the other thread. Good stuff! I'm just gonna buy separate spare glass for the Wines I buy along with the separate o rings. I won't be able to mix and match, but dang it I'm going to own a lot of little rubber rings and glass tubes!

Here's link to "Variable Voltage USB Passthrough device" for those interested. These are not high quality devices (wires tend to pull at the device) but under $4 each. I put a 6-8 in vapocolypse box to complement a couple mech w/kicks as fail safe devices.

All internet sales related to tobacco going in of out of Utah will be prohibited as of 7/1/2016.

No cigarettes, cigars, ejuice, etc.

GrimmGreen reported that in his blog last week.

This ^ information concerning the new law in Utah is not correct no matter how many times you say it...

"As of July 1 2016, a consumer online sales prohibition goes into effect for all e-cigarette and vapor products; e-liquid, hardware, accessories…all of it. This means that no matter the location of the vendor, any business selling to a Utah resident without being physically face to face with the customer will now be illegal."
Utah Smoke Free Association

Utah residents can not buy from online vendors, all purchases must be made face to face.
Utah vendors can still sell online to out of state customers.

Take a look the savings my Signature block shows below. It may be lying through its teeth, but I like the numbers. :)

I was spending about $180 a month on 5 cartons of Dorals. I spend about $40 a month on Hangsen juice from Madvapes. That's $140 a month less. Sure, I buy a mod or a tank and some rebuild consumables here and there, but I'm still way into the green over smoking. That, and my house and vehicles smell like new inside. I no longer own an ashtray.

Oh yeah. Agreed. Long term I've saved a ton by switching to vaping. It's the short-term "bump" over the last month or two that's killing me. Lots of nic base and a lockable freezer to keep it in (thanks @mikepetro), DIY supplies (I just started last month), a lot of backup mods, a lot of backup tanks, and a lot of backup stuff for the tanks (RBAs, o rings, glass, air controllers). Oh yeah, and more nic base. What I've really done is pre-pay for the next 10 years of vaping (at least) over the last 2 months. Short term pain for long term gain I guess.

Until stockpiling, I was spending maybe $100 per year on vaping. With the price of cigs here over $9/pack, I have saved a ridiculous amount. The credit card bill doesn't look pretty, and won't for the next few months. I agree that it's pre-paying at least 10 years of vaping, probably a whole lot more. I'm totally OK with that.
