0mg is always an option.
Gradual reduction is the key. Drop your nic level just 1mg once every 3 months. In time you'll be down to just 1mg juice. After that you can go to 0mg and you would never notice the difference.
My wife has absolutely convinced herself that she needs a lot of nicotine. If you talked to her today she would tell you that she can't get by without her 18mg juice, and despite vaping for 3 years she couldn't possibly even think about reducing it.
She has no idea that I've been gradually reducing it without telling her since I started DIYing my juice. She's really only vaping 10mg juice, but if she feels better thinking it's 18mg I'm not going to burst her bubble. Nicotine addiction or reliance is a lot more mental mindset than a lot of people want to admit to. 0mg is always an option. You might not want to take it, but it is an option.
I've been vaping for almost 6 years at around 24 mg. I'm reducing it now to 18. My question to you is does she still vape the same amount of liquid? Every time I step down, I chain vape for a good week! And I still keep at least one bottle of 24 mg around.
You know, there's nothing to stop us from sending another boardie a little "surprise package" a couple times a year. Kind of like a "Secret Vaping Pal" kind of thing, like some do where they work at Xmas time, or within a group of friends...with a "Secret Santa" event. Wouldn't have to be anything big nor expensive...just something vape related!
I'd take part in it later!
I like nicotine, it's a stimulant no more harmful than caffeine. I did cut down from 18mg to 3mg. Plan on going down to 1.5mg but no further.0mg is always an option.

I'm interested. Where did you learn this?

I have a spare bedroom with a nice, comfy queen sized bed and television. I'm good.
By the time she figures it out her nic level will be so low that it won't matter anyways. I've got to make a new batch for her this weekend while she's out of town on a business trip. She'll come back and be vaping juice with just half the nicotine that she thinks she is.

Doh!
Let us know how that goes...![]()
I recently dropped from 12mg down to 3mg, but that was because I switched to more powerful devices and lower ohms. I do find I am vaping all day long, sometimes non-stop, so next batch I will switch a few of my favs to 6mg and see if that doesn't slow me down a notch. Plus, the devices and lower ohm heads are really drinking the juice so next batch is about a week or so away. We've been together more than 20 years now. She doesn't even want to know the details of what I'm doing, she just wants to know that I have juice ready for when she needs it. One day I'll tell her how low her nic level really is, but I'll probably wait until she's down in the 3mg range before I do. I'll be sure to video record it so you can see the expression on her face.

Maybe an option for some, but not for me. I am in this for the nic fix. Tried 0mg a few times and it did nothing for me.
Anyway, the main point of my "only 2 options" was that going back to tobacco was not one of them. I dont ever want that monkey on my back again. Yes, vaping itself is an addiction (for me), but at least it is one I can live with.
I kinda was the Same way with Flavorings for years. And when I would read about people Using Unflavored or VERY Lightly Flavored e-Liquids, I would just shake my head. It just wasn't an option for Me.
But sometimes Time changes things. So Who knows? Maybe down the road 0mg is something that you might find more Appealing. Or... maybe Not.
But one thing I am in Complete Agreement with you. I am NEVER Going back to Cigarettes. Period. End of Report.
