I've ordered extra RBAs from several sites (myvaporstore, directvapor, etc.), but it's the screws that are the only thing I've had to replace over the last year. You get extra screws when you order an entire STM, but not when you order the rba as a standalone. Just wouldn't mind having an extra little package of those little screws.
Never ordered, just checked fasttech:

$8.14 Replacement Phillips + Hexagonal Screw for DIY E-Cigarettes (200 Pieces) 200-pack - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$1.50 Replacement Socket Set Screws for Atomizers (20-Pack) - M3*4mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$1.21 Replacement Phillips Head Screws for Atomizers (20-Pack) - M2.5*5mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
etc.

I have now idea which screws go where. If somebody does know even a little bit, please let us know also.

Gennies the most basic hardware?

What's more basic in your view? I certainly cannot regard what's put out now as basic at all. With a genny you can roll your own wick and wind your own coil from things the FDA can't touch because vaping isn't their primary or only use. I don't have to go hunting the globe for exotic cotton either, nor do I have to get into all different kinds of wire or temperature control. To me a genny is about as basic as it gets.

I don't have to go buy coil heads at the B&M's for far more than what I make myself. Back when I started vaping gennies were the hot ticket. Of course this was many long ages ago, when the world was young and green, and wild poodles roamed the earth.

Back then everything vaping was pretty basic.

I use RTA's with RBA decks. Same as you wind my own coils and wick my own coil.
For me Gennies are something you hit with a 4 pound hammer as hard as you can ;)

Having never needed a hammer of any weight I have no idea where are are coming from with this, though it does seem disparaging and deliberately provocative.

Best of luck to ya...

Would there be better alternative? Don't know where to buy the OEM components. Thanks
I think the shorty 510's are your best bet. It is what I bought a dozen of.
I have no clue where to get the OEM 510's. Would like to know.
I think Mastblast09 on Plumes has done the mod to a RX with a Fat Daddy 510.

I took my VTC Mini and Kanger Kbox mini apart and decided I could fit the Fat daddy in there. You will just have the platform on top, which is not a bad thing.

I personally like Cisco's 510 from avidvapor or evolv's via protovapor, but both are relatively expensive. Any 510 you add after the fact is probably going to require some work, unless the vendor specifies their 510 vendor, but it can be done.

If I need any spare parts, I'm driving the 20 minutes to Winchester and yelling "ROBERT CROMWELL" a lot.

I personally have never had a mod "break". Sure I've dropped one before, but never from intended use has a mod failed on me yet. I figure a few IPV D3 or 2's will hold out for decades if need be.

I suppose it's always possible. Springs might give up after a while.
