I'm not so worried about o-rings, food grade o-rings are easy to find and replace, you just need to know the measurements. But for just the convenience factor it's not a bad idea to pick up a few backups.

I was referring to subtank mini seals, which are specifically shaped gaskets rather than off the shelf o rings.
This means that if you are stocking up against the possibility of parts becoming unavailable, you would need to buy them in advance and store them for long periods.

This is why I recommend against the subtank mini for stockpiling.

Most tanks take regular o rings, which will still be available, so long term storage is not an issue.

We have the best Government money can buy, that's the sad reality.

Exactly true and as long as groups like BP and BT are allowed to dump hundreds of millions of dollars into the laps of select politicians each year, it's only going to get worse. That's why I think politicians should be required to wear jumpsuits like race car drivers adorned with the patches and logos of corporations who own them. Guarantee none will have vaping logos...

If we started seeing patches for Eleaf, Sigelei, KangerTech, Ijoy etc... showing up on those suits, things might improve. Representation for sale to the highest bidder, the U.S. is a "pay to play" nation.

Great Minds think alike...

Hey No Problem Robino. I think All of this has everyone On Edge. And Isn't where we want to be After 5 Years of waiting.

I feel Complete Disgusted and Betrayed by the FDA's actions. Not for myself. None of this will Effect me much. But for the Hundred of Thousand of current Smokers who will Never be given the opportunity that I had to Get Off Cigarettes.

I think Congress should draft Legislation to Replace the words "Public Heath" from All FDA Signs and Printed Material and in their place, insert various Corporate Logos of BT and BP.

Authentic gaskets for the Subtank Mini are available on Fasttech. Clones gaskets are available on both eBay and Fasttech.

I know - I was calling into question what those gaskets are going to be like after 20 years in storage.
For tanks that take standard o rings, this won't be a problem, because you will be able to repair them with brand new o rings indefinitely.
If subtank gaskets become unavailable and the gaskets you squirreled away 20 years ago have turned to mush, you're out of luck.

For O-ring storage, just Google "o-rings long term storage".
I came a cross a few posts. Basically it depends on the materials they are made from.
Now if only O-ring kits detailed what the O-rings were made of, we would be in good shape.
Below is copied from an O-Ring dealer...
Recommended Shelf life

  • 5 years: Polyurethane (millable), SBR, Natural Rubber, Polybutadine, Polyisoprene
  • 15 years: Nitrile, Neoprene, HNBR, Polyacrylate, Butyl
  • Unlimited: Ethylene Propylene, Fluorocarbon, Perfluorinated Elastomer, Silicone, Tetrafluoroethylene Propylene (Aflas®), Fluorosilicone.

aaaah, understood.
Most all my tanks take pretty standard o-rings other than maybe a couple like the Goblin Mini and the Nautilus.

Also don't ever underestimate the ingenuity of someone dedicated, especially when it comes to satisfying ones vices ;)

20 years? You still expect vaping tech to be the same in 20 years?
I just prepped for the rest of my expected life.

And the flavor from tge Goblin Mini, and Silverplay nano were less than $11 each a d tge flavor from those attys are nectar of the Gods.
Just an fyi for in case you or anyone else who has one doesn't already know, the glass for a subtank mini is a perfect fit for the silverplay nano.My son broke the glass on his, then had some juice eat the plastic bell cap,so i searched for glass for it,and it seems nobody sells replacement glass for them.I have a few spares from the stm,so decided to try it,and the glass is exactly the same.

If it were me i would put them in a bottle with water to keep them hydrated and flexible.

PERFECT. most know that i LOVE the Silverplay Nano.

Never used The glass i MUCH prefer the bell cap over The glass.

1. Easily remove the build for wicking and building.

2. Bottom fill without using the fill port.

I simply adore the Silverplay Nano.

If the FDA and BT succeed in hijacking Vaping.... then yeah, we"re looking at the same Cigalikes 20 years from now ... only more expensive.

open tank Vaping may become a black market thing.

One thing for sure ... things are about to change drastically in the next 3 years.

Without changes to the laws.
My prediction is that the influx of new vapers will drop dramatically during the next 3 years and all vapers left will be pretty much the diehards like on here.
20 years from now vaping will pretty much be gone.
This is all a USA perspective.

smoking will also be in the under 1% range.

I prefer the bell cap for my son,so i don't have to keep replacing glass haha.I like the glass on mine though,so i put 20 stm glass in my cart at fasttech.
I'm wondering now though,if there is a bell cap that will fit these, since i can't find them for the silverplay nano either.I may have to add a stm bell cap and see if it fits,i tried one for a kayfun, and it didn't work.

Of course not, but will that advanced technology be available to Americans?
We might still be stuck with 2007 technology plus whatever we have stockpiled.
Oh it will be available, just what length will we have to go to.
You can get pretty much anything you want today, legal or not.

I agree with all of that (from a USA perspective) except for the 1% smoking prediction.

Smoking will always have a certain 'cool' factor with a particular demographic, and the more forbidden something is, the more 'cool' it becomes.

Plus, with the widespread legalization of cannabis, smoking in some form is likely to still be around.
