I've been using PT2 tanks (and rebuilding the coils) almost since I started vaping. I love the ease of simply removing the old coil, dropping it into a cup of water to clean, put in a new coil and I'm good to go. When I get 5-10 in the cup I take them out to dry, sit down for a few minutes (that's all it takes), dry burn, re-wick and and add them back to my "good to go" container.
I did try a couple of KFL clones some time ago. Granted the flavor was much better, but I couldn't justify the extra time and effort involved to "fiddle" with them so I put them away and continued on with my PT 2's.
Because of this thread, I learned that the Kanger STM works with the PT2 coils. I can't remember who posted that but THANK YOU!!!
Because of that post, and what the FDA is doing, I ordered 4 and received them yesterday. Today I will be ordering several more, and the spare parts (glass, base, o-rings) to go with them.
I LOVE this tank.
The ease of the PT with the flavor of a rebuildable.
With the PT, the highest wattage I could run was 7.5W. Above that and it would taste burnt. I'm gradually, and cautiously, increasing the wattage on the STM and loving the flavor.
The only downside is that it does burn through juice faster than the PT. I "thought" I had enough nic stashed away to last the rest of my life (I'm in my 60's) but may have to add to that now. However, the nic buzz I'm getting tells me that I probably need to lower the % so I may be good after all.
