If anyone wants to talk about BOOKS today I will respond!!!The Wiz!
Does anyone have a Kindle? I have one and it is great, but the problem is I am always ready about 6 or 7 books at one. It's nice that I can carry all the book around with me at one time in a small package.........
Elendil....I just love the feel of a book in my hands...hence no kindle for me...and I am always in the middle of 5 or 6 books at once...I am planning on finishing one later this year..lolDoes anyone have a Kindle? I hear you there Vicks!...Who has any extra $ these days!I wanted to get a Kindle - first found them on the web around January....but haven't been able to justify to myself the price tag... and the realization that I would have to spend more to make it as fully functional as I wanted....so I decided to blow all my discretionary spending money on ecigs instead...![]()

donei.....I am an advid audio book listener also.....Currently listening to Drood by Dan Simmons...Kind of a Victorian setting involving Charles Dickens...very entertaining!umm.... it's a good thing I listen to books instead of read them. I can pop in the headphones and tune all the noise out.
Right now I'm listening to Paranoia by Joseph Finder - good book, almost finished.
donei....I sort of borrow my audio books! Diana Gabaldon?....Never heard of her..will give her a look-up and see what she has!....I still prefer holding an actual book in my hands as well!Wiz
I've been a mamber of Audible.com since 2001 so that gets me two books a month. There have been times that I bought extra books on a given month. I have only come across 2 books that I couldn't get into, and one of them was last month. The other was sometime in 2002, I think.
I did install the Kindle reader on my iPhone and I actually read a book a few months ago. I think I would have enjoyed the book more if it was real. The iPhone is just not designed for reading a very long book.
Anyone here ever read anything by Diana Gabaldon?
