Newbie orion user here, after a few hours of popping coils at the top, bottom, recoiling everytime, I just had to put the orion down. I actually built one of those chinese DUDs easier the first go. Then I went back to the orion, and wrap a fresh coil on there, and took the old wick out. Fire the button, and finally figured out it wasnt my coil, but it was the wick that's shorting out all over the place. Made a new wick to slide over the coil in picture, and voila, works like a champ! Wouldn't have caught it if I wasn't reading the DUD thread.
Really digging the side button on the Orion. I think I want another!
After watching this video...I decided to try it out....and let me say that I am now a believer!!!...WOW ED!!! How using 500 mesh makes a whole world of difference. Rolled up a tight 70mm length 500 mesh wick...3 coils of 30 awg kanthal wire on my Orion V2.1...Vaping bliss!!! Tons of flavor and vapor!!! Thank you so much Ed for posting this video...I think I just found my new setup for all my rebuildables!!!

Just read on VW that the next batch of Orions may be of a Orion V3. Les (Nosmoker) is working on changes to the Orion and if they pan out he will add the changes to the next batch! No details as of yet to what they are. Les is keeping it a hush..hush. So if you're interested as I am....I suggest y'all get back on the list ASAP!!!

I just got my second Orion V2.1 in with the leather case. Think I will were it around my neck like this for Vapercon this month, it also has a belt loop...

It's a moded ego lanyard . I bought it from ljesmokes.com the Orion fits in the ones they sell . I shortened the length and sewed the bottom back up
That sucks. They are OOS. I use an eGo lanyard for my vapor... and a ScrewDriver MKI/II case or Gerber multitool case for my Orion...
I was given a heavily modded V1.0. Wire terminals were removed and I would like to install ss wires. Anyone familiar with this set up? All those early pearls were lost with the take down of UKV. I know Les is very busy ATM. TY!

tierra, I could help, but would use silver wires, unless you can provide the SS. Last time I checked, SS wire usually had some resistance to it... Does it have the button and PCB still ???
