zap tanks won't fit, but siam mods ones do as well as some of the dct tanks, but need a little filing/sanding to match. i had mine custom machined by someone on one of the other forums. here's some info from another forum on the tanks:

Tank Size :
  • PLEXIGLAS® XT (allround)
    Transparent 0A070 GT

In europe (and US ?), I use this online shop : PLEXIGLAS® Online-Shop
  • Diameter int : 16mm -
    0.63" - 5/8" = .625
  • Diameter ext : 20mm-
    0.79" - 13/16 = .875
  • Length : 23mm -
    0.906"
  • Siam Mods SS Tank
  • Health Cabin 6ML DCT Tank

Cid, regular size ( off Siam website) is what you want. The XL will not make two. ;-) They are OOS as is Clouds of Vapor. You'd have to cut them down, but they are very nice. Makes your Orion bomb proof.

A 6ml Boston round juice bottle works in a pinch too.

Yeah I saw they are oos :( The Boston bottles, I would not have any idea how to cut glass... I'm looking for carbon fiber tubes on ebay now :)

I got my new orion a couple weeks ago or so. It's my 3rd V2.1. I just had to put it down after popping 4 coils in a row at the top. Strange, I'm using the same method I've used with my other two and I might have popped a coil once ever.

Also, this is the only one where the holes dont line up with the button so I know it's not going to be my daily pocket carry.

Loving the glass tanks although it takes forever to sand down.

That's it for now fellow Orion-philes.

Strange... nothing looks different on the 'deck' does it? My button doesn't line up; it's at 90 degrees but I can hit it fine w/ the buttom on the bottom (puts the wick on the side).

Yes, the glass does take a while. I gave up and just sanded my plexi tank. Wonder what grit is best for glass? I just have fine and medium emery cloth.

Has anyone sourced a place to get the original plastic 2.1 tank o-rings.....and those that are using the glass tanks from Terry at UKVap..., where do you get an o-ring that works? I have some seeping with the original tank and o-rings and those are to big for the glass tanks, so when I use some that are smaller that really had to be stretched to fit, the glass seeps as well.

@ 'emonty', thanks, I'll try 400 wet next time for the glass. Not sure what number my emery paper is; have fine and medium.

@ 'doc', I wouldn't go above 1.2mm, but I'd try it on a 10ml bottle or a Vivi tank first (has same threads)

@ 'crypto', the size Les uses is 12mmx1.5mm. He said you could use 10 or 11 but the 1.5mm is most important. I started a thread a couple weeks ago in the mod forum to source metric sizes. Someone said Ace hardware has them too.

I have checked the o-ring store but can't find that size....just really frustrated with how hard it is to get the proper size o-ring. Ugh

Didn't think that the same size as 12mm x 1.5mm. Usually the first number has one designated point of measurement and the second number has a different designation. That's why I passed over them thinking they weren't correct.

Yeah, I know it's usually ODxIDxwall, but these should be the correct ones w/ a 1.5mm cross section..
