Vapes like a freight train! Is it practical in comparison to just using one wick? Not really. But it was fun doing it!! I can't imagine having two holes (patiently waiting for my caps from Dik), the vapor would just be asphyxiating.

I also want to point out that with this setup there is no issue with the insulator getting too hot and getting dark, the spring and the nut don''t get black whereas with a hotter setup that might be an issue. 1.1 ohm is great with tobacco flavors and the 6/7 wrap gives perfect flavor and vapor.

I agree emonty. Only difference here is I am using 30g nichrome vice 28g kanthal. 6/7 wrap gives me a 1.3Ω coil. Works great for me and I vape tobacco flavors also, well mostly. Going to this sort of setup (I haven't gotten any #500 yet) has actually woken my Zen stuff up and I actually enjoy them now. Regardless, I agree with your last statement whole heartedly

Also, if you put the numbers into an ohms law calc, starting with 4vdc and down to 3.7v with a 1.3Ω load, you will find it starts off ~12watts and then works down to 10watts. Recently I was playing with a friends Darwin and had my DiD on it. I could watch the settings as I upped it to where I like it. Guess what, 10-12W was the sweet spot for me. Man I need to get on the list for the OrionV3... OR at least get a couple VV switches. Know if Les or Pailpoe will sell them to current Orion owners?

Hey just noticed my center post.insulator is all melted to hell, I do have another switch otw, but in the mean time does anyone know the dimentions/part that i need to get to replace that insulator? Thanks!

On another note, this weekend I took off the spring and washers. I'm trying out two M2 nuts instead. I’m really liking it.

Seems like it would work considering the length of the shaft. If not they could be cut with a razor. But there is a lack of details on the other dimensions on the page.

Yea, I might go to a local industrial fastener store tomorrow of the weathers ok, they have everything! And jolly i will bring the insulators to the vape meet and hook you up with a few if I get them befor then
