Also, judging from what people have said, I seem to have an interesting airhole placement. It's spot on over the wick but at about 175 degrees from the button....

Hey guys! Got myself an Orion and I'm really digging it! However, I got to sand the tanks down. Any idea what's the quickest way to do this other then just using sand paper and really sanding it for hours and hours?
I also have a Siam frosted tank that I really did like to fit onto the Orion.
And thanks for sharing your information everybody, this thread was really helpful to get me started with my entire Orion. Especially the tips and tricks about it.![]()
Wrt dings/scratches, I try really hard till the first appears. After the initial upset I'm over it. I bought it to use and hard used it has been F
for the past year. I didn't buy it to polish and grace the mantle. ;-)
I did put a stainless tank on it early in. Les told me I'm bomb proof now.![]()
Yea I use to be a Zenhead untill I got my first orion, then after I tried the orion I barely used my Zen anymore because IMO the orion out preforms it in every way especially flavor, alot of people say its because of the airy draw but I have one of my orions bored to 1/16 and it has more flavor than my Zen had, I think it has to do with how small the chamber in the top cap is, needless to say I have since sold off all my Zen products in favor of "better" genesis attys
