I think it is the wick because its happening regardless of the coil set-up.

I'm running a very solid wick of 500 SS. Its definitely wicking well I just am not a fan of the constant pops.

I got rid of the popping after I found out some parts of the coils where wrapped too loose. they should be touching the wick on all parts, not chocked, not loose. It is a fine line but once found it heats up perfect, no popping.

Anybody experience a popping during draws? Its like I'm eating pop rocks. It even pops for a second right after my puff. Its working fine, good flavor and vapor its just odd & annoying. Each pop is like mini explosions of juice as it turns to vapor. What's going on here?

I have one juice that does that really badly, it's Peanut Butter Silk Pie or something like that. The same wick and coil with a different juice didn't pop at all but once I added this juice it pops on ever fire from beginning to end. I'm guessing it something that is added to the juice....maybe real peanut oil. :D

Not sayin that is your problem though....just offering another possibility. :)

Is there any way to tell what kind of tank I have on my orion, both of my orions I bought from the classys, and they sound like glass if I tap on them, so would it be safe to assume they are glass. Also for those who use Pluid in their orion, have you had any issues with the pluid eating the positive nylon isolator

Welp I got my drip tip shield cap in.yesterday, not sure if I like it or not. I love the idea and its function, but not the added weight

Did you drill your air hole yet....curious the best do it yourself method to get the air hole drilled without butchering the cap. :)

I haven't drilled it yet because Im not sure if Im gonna keep it, but for my other drip tip cap, I just put it in a vise with a thick towel on the sides to protect the finish and used a center punch to make my mark, and drilled it.

Agreed on the weight. But i prefer it that way since i could use my own driptips. And it looks sleek. Lol.

Yes I do like the sleek look, but my only other gripe is the shield cap finish is a little darker than either one of my orions, its not a huge differance, guess im just too much of a perfectionist.

Let me know Danny. Ill give it a shot & see if I like it.

I'm loving the form and function, but not the looks as it is taller then the original, but the finish is great! Threading wise, it is a bit difficult and not as smooth as compared to the original cap, but to me, it is just a small matter.

Everything else, I get to fit in my not so great looking drip tip. I also don't have to sand the original tanks down to get it to be alligned with the wick hole. Now, as for the original top cap, since I have 2 top caps, I will mod the stock cap to a 1/16. :D

I suggest those who haven't got it, to get it! I mean, wouldn't a spare top cap be good just in case something goes wrong... Speaking of which, could anyone give me advise about where I can get spare washers, springs, m2 nuts (those on the DID fit, but then I need some spares as well) and insulators? My hands aren't so good with small parts and I tend to lose a lot of parts D: thanks in advance for the help
