Guys, I have a big problem. My wife accidentally knocked my Orion 2.1 off the table two days ago, and I was so relieved that the tank didn't break, I didn't notice that it was shorting until I smelled it cooking. I tore the battery out, and once it cooled a bit I took off the cap. My spring is toast, my center post is tarnished, my washer and nut are really tarnished and brittle. I tore her down and removed my destroyed wick and coil, took off the tank, and gave here a good cleaning. Today I put a battery in it, and tested the switch using a multimeter. My switch is toast too, always on.

I really want to get this baby firing again, and I know that pailpoe sells replacement switches on vaporwall, but after registering two weeks ago, I still havent been approved. If anyone has a switch I could buy, I'd really appreciate it. Or if anyone could get me approved at vaporwall...

Also, I'll need a replacement spring, so I was gonna steal one from a ballpoint pen...will this work?

Thanks for the help guys, I sure appreciate it.

Regards,

Dredd

Ballpoint pen spring works, but you'll likely need to cut it in half. I retrofitted a v1 that way, but you may also consider using nuts from either a Cobra or DID. Or clones. Try your local r/c hobby shop.

Weird. My tank is 21mm too. Wonder why the hole on the bograt cap lines up on the other wick hole on yours compared to mine.

Maybe because I use the other wick hole cause I am left handed??? Lines up perfect with the other wick hole... So my 2 top caps are drilled 180 out :)

To those who got their quartz tank via coop. I measured my only good but cracked tank and it's just 19mm. Noticed from the coop thread that everyone got either 20 or 21mm. Which is for me? Any info if bedazzled (or ibtank) will will be selling these retail soon?

From what I read, every Orion is different. But, my rough estimation would require you to get a 21mm. Hope this helps D:

However, if you find that 21mm is too long, then you can sand it down to your required height. If you get a 20mm you only have a 19-20mm range, compared to having a 21mm-19mm range :)

I gotta agree with Whoopin here. Plus a 21mm tank covers the top o-ring with room to spare. The only reason I can see to have a shorter tank is to help lower the air hole location on the stock cap.

PS: Try PMing Bedazzled? Because I know I wasn't in the co-op.

That's where I recommend to get the Boge Rat Top Cap; custom drip tip+ lower stock airhole. So I have a stock cap, boge rat with lowered air hole (it fits perfectly alligned wth the wick on the stock tank given by Les, just a little off a lil and I raised the tank just a little, it isn't noticeable and I still don't get leaks), and then get another boge rat to enlarge the airhole to 1.5mm and I have a airy draw cap :D

Hope you get a tank that fits you justinred :)

By the way, I don't know whether anyone else is getting this but then I am finding my airhole to be plugged with juice very frequently on the Boge Rat top cap though.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will hold out contacting Bedazzled till I hear from the coop guys regarding their quartz tubes. I'm halfway around the world so it's no turning back once I commit to Badazzled and item gets shipped.

Really? I purchased 4 Bedazzled 21mm Orion tanks on Tuesday and they arrived Friday. They are perfect for me. That is where the co-op got their tanks. Just saying.

21mm it is. Sorry if my previous post sounded like a brush off, you didn't mention in your previous post that you got some glass from Bedazzled. Will PM her now. Thanks! :)

Just wanted to let people who missed the co-op and were asking about IBTanked 20mm x 1.8mm pyrex tanks, I just received a tank from them and they work out good w/ stock orings , but may leak with thinner liquid. So far I have obly tested with 100% VG we may do a co-op in the future with these guys as a cheaper alternative to the fuzed quartz tanks
