Ok so far i am trying the twisted coil with the nickrome 32 with 4/3 warps and flavour and throat hit is great and decent amount of favour. But on my lavatube using the Joye 510 Atomizer i have lesser flavour and throat hit but thick dense favour. So i'm just wondering why on the orion for me the vapour is lesser compared to the LT. Am also using same juice for both too...

gotta be airhole. dont have my orion yet, but the airhole on the orion is much smaller than the iHy... I get tons of vapor from the iHy, so as far as I can see the biggest difference will be airflow/airhole size

ok so if i want to increase the airhole just a little bit from 1.1mm to 1.2 mm , all i need to do is drill it with a 1.2mm drill bit? Is there any other thing i need to know of before drilling the hole?

nothing really, just be sure you want that bigger hole, because there is no turning back :)

i thought about going to a local machine shop and having them put another hole the same size directly below the original hole, about 2-3 mm lower

Not a bad idea placing another 1mm airhole just below. Hole area for two 1mm airholes would be .785x2=1.57. One 1.5mm airhole has an area of 1.77. So two 1mm airholes will be a wee bit tighter draw than one 1.5mm. Also you will have the option to plug one of the holes if you want a stock 1mm draw.

Darn why didn't I think of that before I drill mine to 1.5mm.

precisely my reasoning behind the dual hole... even a triple hole would be ok because one (or more) could be plugged.

I went ahead and drilled a hole to 1/16... now it's a fog machine . i'm loving it now...just that the draw is a little more airy now ..but thanks alot for all the advice guys..really appreciate it :toast:

glad it worked out!

for what it's worth, the 10ml bottle trick is to cut a hole in the bottom so that it can thread on like a top cap.... then you poke an air hole the size of whatever hole you're considering, and vape it with a bottle instead of the top cap.

Les made it sound like there's going to be an upgrade kit for 2.1 users to mod it to v3. I am curious about this. Price, ease of applying it & whether it can be removed to resort back to original 2,1. Any thoughts about this?

umm...I don't think a upgrade kit would be feasible as the design of the v3 is entirely different than the v2.1.

Here's some pics of the v3 design.
