Red lead plugs into the VΩmA. Black lead into the COM.

See the bottom left settings that have the Ω sign. That is for reading ohms. For our purposes, and on that meter, set it to the 200Ω setting to read resistance. Take resistance readings without the battery in (so you don't press switch by accident and apply voltage to meter). It i also a good idea to put the lead tips together to see what they read so you can subtract it from your Ω readings.

To take voltage readings. Put it on the V--- (Voltage DC) 20 setting.

Otherwise. Google it. Plenty of info.

So should i take out the battery and where do i put the needles to check my ohm resistence? red goes to the negative nut below and black goes to top nut above?

Got my Sotong (VW) 18490 extension in couple days ago. Just awesome to have an 18490 orion that is the same size height wise as a Zen/iHy xx350. It still fits perfectly in my multitool pouch and fits my hand better then the 350 size.
Does the finish match the original?

Too much torching does not help. Oxygen needs to do it's part also. Make sure you use the hottest part of the flame: the part in between the dark and light blue. don't overdo it, 20 seconds per side, roll it, torch again for 20 to 30 seconds and done. Let it cool of and check with your mm....good luck!

That means your wick not good oxidized. Reading should be 1. Put the probes on a non conductive surface and see what it reads.........1

finally i realise what my problem was... like you mentioned it was not oxidized properly and i had to do it longer than i was doing it to get it oxidized, now my ohm is reading 2.9 with a 4 wrap is that fine oh should i lower it? Thanks alot for all the help.. finally i could get a decent vape on it ;)

2.9 ohm is quite high. What Kanthal are you using and how many wraps?

I use 30 AWG 3/4 wraps reading 1.2 ohm for instance

i'm using the 32 a1 kanthal and 4/5 wrap... Should i lower it? i get about 2.9 and minus 0.8( when just putting the 2 probes together) is 2.1 ohm?

Well, it is user preference. If the flavor is good and you are satisfied, leave it as it is. Important is that all coils glow evenly when the wick is dry. Once liquid it used, you should not see any glowing. Break it in and see how it goes. If you find it too weak, make a 3/4 wrap....

Ok thank you... I was just about to give up but you saved the day for me :toast:

Ok for the past 2-3 tanks about 1/4-1/2 way through the tank the juice starts turning very dark. I have read that this is caused by a short? The weird thing is this just started happening out of no where(same coil and wick never happened before) BUT about the same time I noticed the juice darkening I also notice an increase in flavor.

Check resistance. Sounds like it has changed and that is normal after extended use.
