I also like the v3 better because I don't think it could leak if left on the wrong side since there's no air hole on the cap. I'm going to try carrying it in my pocket to see. Unless it was upside down maybe it would leak from the mouthpiece? With 2.1 if I had it in my pocket and sat down for a whole, it would completely leak out.

490 mode? How? That's my favorite mode, I have a dozen batts that size. I'm guessing they make a different size extension tube?
I have a sotong 18490 extension that was for my V2, works great for the V3 also. Available on VW. Let me know if you need a sponsor over there.

Did you try your stock orion cap? That's the first thing I did before I set it up was put m2 nuts on there and took the spring off.

I did play around with the air tube a little bit, it rotates an I used a 1mm bit to bend it slightly to be more centered on the wick.

My biggest issue I'm having is I want to use a large wick, 2.5mm in diameter. But I can't do that because it fills the wick hole and chokes.

However, I've been doing some experimenting with SS cable rope. Which wicks like crazy. It's 7x7. I'll pull one strand off and roll it in the center of my wick, which boosts wicking tremendously. I'm going to pull three strands off and roll a wick the fits the hole and I'm hoping that will solve the wicking issues will have a large juice bearing wick for massive hits and vapor.

I will try the tight coil when I do that as well so that the air tube is hitting the majority of the coil.

That'd be awesome, thanks.
I've carried mine sideways in my pocket and it hasn't leaked yet. Not for great lengths of time but it's looking promising.

Need some help guys. I just purchased an orion v2.1 on classifieds. Works amazing but weather I use the sotong top cap or stock top cap, juice leaks out between the top of the tank and bottom of cap. How did anyone having this issue fix it?

It happened maybe once or twice to me.

First time I heard this I was kinda or offended , but, improper build?

If you're wick is really spitting, well the threads inside the top cap collect condensation. I dig this in the Orion actually, really easy to clean out and I kinda feel like it gives a cleaner vape/ no re-vape. But yeah, tons of condensation will settle on the top of the tank and leak out..

I mean I'm assuming you're using at least 75% of your wick hole, prob condensation.

Run a lower res coil:D

Or I have yet to try stainless cable, but I'm dying to. Wrap a sub one on some cable...:D:D:D:D:D

Another option is to stick an O-Ring on the top of the tank and screw the top cap down on it. This was happening to me before using whichever tank I bought it with and the extra O-Ring fixed it. I've since bought a 21mm tank from Bedazzled and had absolutely no leaking without needing an extra fix.

I had this happen to me once too. I actually got pretty nauseous from the juice that had leaked all over my leg. I'd love for the v3 to be more pocket friendly.

actually i take that back. mine leaked all over the place when someone accidentally knocked it down on its side on the table. just for a few minutes i came back to find a pool of juice. also today i had it upright on my car seat, passenger side, it fell down on its side and juice leaked all over my seat. my v2.1 wasnt this bad it could take a sideways position for long time. am i doing something wrong? do i need to wrap a fat thick wick?? right now ive rolled it like a straw with a hole in the middle because thats what i read was good

I mean, all this talk about the v3 beaking leak proof is BS anyhow. Yeah it doesn't have a airhole for the juice to leak out of when its on it's side, but it's still going to flood the cap, and if it floods enough it will just come out of the mouth piece.

Use what ever kind of wick you want and keep it upright like any other device.

For me the best option so far is the SS 316 wire rope. I have great results with it in the V3.
Leaking? Yes, it leaks if you let it on its side, no matter what. I guess the only way to prevent it would be to make a huge full wick and find something to plug up the fill hole, but that will result in a bad wicking process.... just let it stand upright, like 90% of the other genesis.
Anyway, great little piece of vaping this Orion 3, love it so far :headbang:

I heard that the V3 can be vaped it outer space... Zero grav vape style. Just saying.

Annnd boom goes the dynamite... popped my switch earlier today:facepalm:

Anybody go too deep on the 2.1 switches and want to off one?? would be cool or I'll order one I guess.

Snap, how did you pop it?? I have one spare but need to keep onto it. Hope you find one soon. I had a bad recoiling day last week and thought I may have knackered mine but it works; think I ran the batteries down too low. Hoping to rule that out soon.

Basically being dumb, adjusted the neg post w/o metering after. I Haven't taken it apart yet. I'm sure there is no juice in there tho, I was running a MMV nut and spacer, must have shorted it.

Was metering at ~1.4, messed with it, then switch was acting funny, then well you know...

Just got it back from Cracked, he did such a nice job on it. Thing was beyond tor up before he worked his vodo magic.

Well not my only device but yeah, pretty bummed.

Might be a minute before I get to run ceramic in it. I've got enough stuff to be keep me busy:D

Orion foggy cap I got from a buddy in Malaysia. I ordered it with no air holes so that I could drill them myself. Then I refinished it to match.
