Does anyone know why my orion has a small Nosomker right under the switch? I know Nosmoker is the creator of the orion and I respect him for that but I am more at a puzzle as what version it is...V2 V2.1? Or is it a limited run of some kind because I have seen others like mine on the iterwebs but mostly always see the non logo one online. Can anyone help this old fool with this.

the spring is for retention. I have heard of people just wrapping around the post. You can get springs and washers and nuts from McMaster-Carr. There is a link a few posts back for parts.

I ordered the springs and everything fine but I tried to make a new wick and wrap while I was out of my mind drunk and woke up this morning with spring and mod and tank only. washers and nuts missing. Anyhow on your McMaster-Carr link for washers comes up as [h=3]Nylon 6/6 Unthreaded Shoulder Spacer with Flange[/h]
[h=4]Long Barrel, #2 Screw Size, .125" Length[/h]
I'm a noob to Orion v2.1 (or any Orion for that matter). Where would this long barrel spacer go? I was just looking for washers that you squeeze your wire in between to at the end.

Thanks in advance!

m2 nut on the center post.

Anyone know how to get a hold of BogRat or sotong to make a custom top cap for me. I've been seeing some really cool ones that where made on the image search for the Orion V2.1 through Google. Does he still make them or does anyone have one they would like to sell me? I'm new to the Orion v2.1 that is why I'm kinda blowing this Thread up lately. I was hoping someone would have one to sell since most people upgraded to the Orion V3. Let me know and we can go to the classifieds and any information is appreciated in advance.

Looking for something like this to make the Orion a taller pv but I am open to any design that might be out there.

Taller???? That's the sotong shield. he doesn't make them anymore. And it doesn't make the orion taller. Maybe depending on what drip tip you use would make it taller....

My bad, for some reason it looks way taller with that tank guard. Anyhow I talked to Sotong on Vaperwall and he said next week he is coming out with something that will come in 2 pieces (I don't know what it is) but he will be making something new.

Hello everyone.just got an Orion v2.1 from the classies and broke the tank.does it have the same size as the v3 tank?most tank suppliers sell tanks for the v3.thanks
I'm a completer noob on the Orion c2.1 but If you can't get a glass one you will have to sand down the plastic tank to make it fit. I don't have a v3 so I am not sure if the tanks are the same size. Someone on here that knows more will help you out.

Oh and p.s. the person that said the tank protector is the same size as the original Orion v2.1. I found a picture of two of them side by side and the Orion with the tank protector is slightly ta;ller by a fraction of an inch. I saw a pic of both of them side by side and it's a fraction of an inch taller (not including a big drip tip). I could be wrong as the picture was in a weird angle. But I do think its taller but what would I know I don't have the tank protector.

hello all hail Orion lovers, im new to this forum and just stepping into the Orion excitement.

Well i'd read a lot about Orion especially the v2.1 and was so amazed and finally got one just yesterday. Apart from the few parts that you have to DIY, its a freaking good hybrid IMHO.

however i have this one wild thought, due to the stock v2.1 topcap airhole which is positioned slightly at the higher side which cause air flow wont be able to touch the bottom coils, i am thinking if i could drill another airhole below the stock airhole, making it a dual vertical in-line airhole so all coils would get their own breathe.

i'd seen pics where people use m2 nuts to raise the negative post, but still there's a limitation in which how high u can raise it. still, the topcap airhole could not deliver sufficient air flow to the bottom coils.

i dont want to spoil my stock topcap before getting clarification :D even though getting another topcap from Bog Rat would be good, but due to my current geographical placement, it would take maybe at least 2 weeks to a month before it reaches me.

so, is it advisable to drill an airhole right below the stock airhole?

what's ur thought?

My thoughts are to keep it stock and get a bog rat top cap. First is resale value, second is to have the variety, third is if you get a V3 at any point, the bog rat and stock V2.1 top cap is usable on the V3 also. Getting a sotong 18490 extension and bog rat top cap makes my Orion(s) complete IMO. Also, stock air hole can get plenty of vapor with right setup, just getting there is the key. But in the end, it is your PV, so do what you want... If you mess it up, you can't get another stocker but can get a bog rat.

noted that dude. great justification :toast:

contacted bog rat for another topcap already.

do u all normally have bog rat do a pre-drilled airhole?

my concern is that with a pre-drilled airhole, u might need a spare pyrex sanded down just to match the airhole of the bog rat topcap.. correct me if im wrong. i have 2 spare pyrex thou.. so might not be a problem if i would have to sand down 1 just for the bog rat

or do u guys prefer to have no airhole and drilled it yourself after that..

just need some more professional views from you guys veteran Orion user so i know what to do hehe..

i still think getting bog rat to do a professional drill is better :D

just ordered a bog rat cap anyway, well if its not gonna fit my current tank, would just have to sand down another tank just to fit the bog rat cap.. a bit troublesome but well.. thats what all electronic cigarette is about rite :D

still think that why doesnt nosmoker design a pyrex that can align with the top cap.. or why not using orings instead of screw downs..
