Ouchhh, I know that feeling. First time I ever drilled a top cap was with my Katana v1 and the black oxide bit broke 1/2 way through drilling the hole. I was not happy. Even though TI bits are roughly 2-3x as expensive as the black oxide (and 1 or 2 $ more than the cobalt), they're WELL WORTH IT. When I bored out my mp to 11/64", the brand new Craftsman TI bit I used cut through the SS like BUTTER! And that was with my crappy 10 year old corded hand-drill. A drill press would have made the job even easier.
Ya man. I bought a full set so I would not have to hunt and try to see every size on the small ones to get the size I was after. Thought I was getting a good deal. Guess if it came with a sharpener it would have been. Them bit sharpeners come at unreal premium. Can see a use for it now.
Just got the MNKE 18650 in and 3 sheets of 6x6" 400 mesh. Still no luck on the wire though. So I bought a pound of it. I could pop coils all day long and never run out.
