Who are you to decide what should be defined as trash to be dumped somewhere else? I'm glad that you are against freedom of speech. Different people have different opinions... that's what makes us individuals. Do you REALLY think that a government official is going to base a major decision off of whether or not anonymous people on the internet are being negative about the political system or not? That may be the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a long time. What fantasy land to you live in? I must admit I do admire your blind faith in the integrity of our system.... but have you watched the news lately? The system is corrupt... It is not a rant; it is an opinion. And I am entitled to that at the very least. I think you are missing the point from us "RANTERS" --- We don't believe that we should be in the position of WINNING over anyone. We just want to have the freedoms that the Constitution GUARANTEES us. We shouldn't have to beg for our rights not to get taken away and if you don't agree with that than I feel bad for you. Until the next time I'm CENSORED......

Suppliers participating in the Association have ongoing conference calls every Sunday and Wednesday nights. I will add your request to our Agenda for tomorrow nights call.
There is only so much we can do until we meet in Chicago in April... but this is something that we can do!
What's this about? Is an E-cig industry organization forming? Are you serious, or just joking?
A supplier conference in Chicago? Is that open to the public for meet and greet with our favorite suppliers? I would so be there.

We have no sorrows. What get's tossed around here is one perspective and the suppliers... well... we just simply have another view of what is going on.
No.... but a yearly meet in greet is not out of the question! Blue Knight Max suggested a festival on AECF a while back and it would be a blast I think... So in the future could we have an e-smokers festival? Heck yea!

I have read similar posts and had a conversation about this topic with at least one supplier. It seems like they at least perceive that they have an ace up their sleeve, or some kind of work around. I have no insight into what this may be.
Dohsma--I agree--I see new business opening (Jaaxx Juice, Diet, etc.) in the face of what appears to be a ban--so what are we missing? ---Sun
Lacy....not to sound harsh.....But I think my perspective is where(if things get any worse),I'll be buying parts,juice ect.From a supplier perspective it has to be just staying in buisness and keeping their jobs! There are alot of nice folks here buyers/suppliers who want to keep the ship afloat...and like I said we all need to start bailing! The Wiz!We have no sorrows. It all goes back to the form letter that gets tossed around here like a monkey with poo.
The FDA does, in fact, have jurisdiction to stop "quit smoking devices" and "lung apparatus" from entering this country. It all goes to marketing and claims.The WHO gave us our first warning in September of 2008. Don't market these as quit smoking devices because we cannot prove they are such. Noted. The FDA has had Christopher Kelly state that they are looking at these on a case by case basis. What does that mean? That means that they are looking at everything in the shipment. If your manual says "quit smoking", then yes, you do in fact have a "new drug".
No matter what anyone wants to think, the FDA has a right to step in on those who are marketing these as NRT's and I think they should. If you are going to make health claims and quit smoking claims, then you should be held to the rules of the FDA.
Is it possible this all changes if the Senate gives the FDA control? Sure. We have never said that the road will not be bumpy. And many of us have said that we are not against regulations because it does promote safety for our users. Many of us are taking our own steps to ensure better packaging, etc. to show that we are in fact, attempting to do this properly.
Either way, the suppliers are privy to information from our lawyers, the FDA, Health Canada, that isn't out there yet. Before we lay our cards out on the table for all of the forum to abuse, we are going to get together and determine the best hand. We made an announcement regarding the Association last week and to our surprise, it was poo'd on more then it was praised. Frankly, I was kind of shocked that more members weren't happy the suppliers were coming together to be proactive.

I knew there were cards to still be played.
And I for one think it's great that the suppliers are getting together to be proactive in this matter. It would be harder to silence a contingent of suppliers than to shut them down one by one. Now here's to hoping they can come to a consensus on how to proceed,
I was more referring to outside activities in Chitown (it's only about an hour away). But Skynyrd might be fun too.
