What's up with your hands Poeia? If you don't mind me asking... if you do, just ignore my question :).
No, not missionaries lol! Just our jobs (all different) that either take us abroad or give us an opportunity to work abroad, and/or marriage to a foreign national that keeps us abroad (in two cases). Country of origin - South Africa - where being white is a dirty word and being white AND over thirty, almost guarantees unemployment. Where having barbed wire, guard dogs, security alarms, guns and safe rooms are a necessity, and extreme danger to one's person, one's family and loved ones, one's property and even LIFE... a DAILY threat. We choose life (abroad).
No idea what's wrong with my hands. I mentioned it again at my annual physical last month and it's definitely not carpal tunnel -- too high for that. It's the muscle in the middle of the back of the hand, directly below the middle finger. If I hold anything for too long without switching position, the hand either starts to hurt or goes to sleep. With heavy tubes like a Chuck there's a tendency to grip it in my fist which, after about 15 minutes, triggers it. Egos are light enough that I play with them and squarish things like box mods and the V8 promote fidgeting.

The left is worse because I always held the phone on that side (a headset made all the difference there) and because Poeia (my parrot, Onomatopoeia) used to nap on my left chest for hours with my hand on her back. I didn't want to move because when she was asleep she wasn't inspecting the inside of my ears or examining my arm and neck for flaws to nip off (I'm part of her flock -- it's her job to groom me.)

She's 19 now and doesn't do that as much so the only thing that really triggers it these days is the wrong mod. I tried a Screwdriver in my early days of vaping and learned that a bottom button causes real pain, not just aching. The funny thing is that my hands are pretty strong.

As with so many things in society, the situation in South Africa is a pendulum. The whites held 100% of the power for over a century, now the blacks do. Maybe someday the pendulum will stop where there is a balance.

Sorry to hear that! I hope they find the cause. What we do for our pets...! My previous baby angel Pug dog (who is in heaven now eating endless T-bones in between napping and playing), caused me terrible back pain for years. He started sitting on my lap at meal times when he was a tiny sweet little puppy, and sleeping on my neck at night and in the car..... cut to many years later and weighing 14kg....

Congrats Sandy! Happy that you have finally found something you like. We will miss you here on the Ovale V8 thread.... Sorry that you were so disappointed.

Dragon does that mean I am uninvited? ;)

I think the idea is great for the Ovale V8, but unfortunately, they are not well made enough to stand up to daily regular use. If you open them up, the wires are very thin, the connections are not soldered well so the wires get loose, the coiled wires that hold the batteries in are too long, and the 510 connectors are loose.

The vendors are working with the company who makes the Ovale V8 to improve them. The manufacturer is listening closely to every idea, and is working with the vendors to make this device a winner.

lol!! Don't be ridiculous!!! So sorry if that sounded wrong. Not intended. You are always welcome. I just thought that you were saying goodbye. You didn't seem to like Ovale from day one anyway, (I read your comments/questions about Ovale V8 before you even joined this thread - DV) and now putting them in a drawer since you found your new precious (you traitor you lol).

I only have one V8 and I have to say, I am NOT disappointed in its performance thus far. It's not my primary device, and it mostly stays in a cell phone case at home, but it's nice to break out and crank up the volts on it once in awhile. My peanutbutter banana juice was really good in it last night at a warming 5 volts in a Vivi Nova.

If they come out with a more solid device with better wiring, but keep the general design of the V8 the same, I'll definitely consider ordering it. Especially if they offer a chrome or stainless steel V8. That would rock for real!

Yes, wouldn't that be awesome! Heavier... but awesome.

I like this chrome DigiBox from LiteCig with the blue LED, but it looks like they're no longer carrying it.

I wonder why not? Was it too expensive? Problems? It looks awesome.

I like the Varicool Smoke Box from Smoktech a lot. It uses two 14500's. But I've .... fired two of them and fried them :(
Rewired one and put that brush-on electrical tape on everything, but I must not have done a good job. It worked for awhile. I may get another one.

A friend is custom making me a two 18650 box mod -- will let you know how that goes. It's not pretty, similar to the Varicool, just a plain black plastic box.

The thing I really like about the Ovale is that it is pretty. The box design is really nice.

Ooh, nice! Is that the one that says, 'Goodbye my Master' and counts your daily puffs? I always wanted one that says that lol...

Yes! Isn't that neat?! I was checking it out every day for a week until it finally sold out. Now that it's gone, I want it more, lol.

I'm trying to remember where I've seen them before! I know there was a pink and white zebra stripe... (if it's the same device I am thinking about).

After charging my batteries they read LO after just a couple of hours. They're pretty new. Are the batteries bad?

Sent from my HTC EVO on Taptalk.

Hi timoody, welcome. Someone else recently had that same problem. I think the batteries weren't in securely or something.

Hmmm, I took them out and recharged again the first time it happened. Then it happened again so I took them out and then back in. Then again. Still reads LO when the batteries should be fully charged. I'll buy some new batteries and hopefully that will fix it.

I would check the batteries with a multimeter, that way you will know if its the batteries or the unit.I

Hi, had that same problem. Brought it back to the vendor. Just got it back today and she told me that there was nothing wrong with it. What i do now is just ignore the irritating Lo sign and just keep on vaping.
