I kind of like the looks of the shiny one. It reminds me of the finish on a grand piano .

It's all over the place, sometimes it's right on but mostly it says 2.2 for everything. Doesn't matter. Pic sharing time -

So I have a question, I was told it;s a good idea to use the 510 to ego adapter like in the pic above but I like the look of it w/ the tank screwed directly into the body like in the pic below...my question is how well is this thing sealed? Do I really need to use the adapter? Has anyone had juice get into the seam and destroy it? My tanks don't leak normally but idk... input appreciated.
No..you don't need to use the adapter. Maybe with the older models...the ones even before the shiny one you got...the ones with the recessed connection? But not now. I don't. Here are my toys...left and middle are my V8s, and right is my VV Gripper. Don't use an adapter for any of 'em. No problems. Yes...I've had a leak or two here and there.

Random question if u feel like answering - why do all the 'pros' use carto tanks? is it the consistency? cuz i've tried a bunch including the one that came w/ the kit and they all have this cartomizer taste, cant explain it but it just tastes off to me. i know how to fill them properly, let em steep overnight etc and i just cant get around it...
Usually...even if it's a really good cartomizer (like Ikenvape or Boge) I still get a bit of "primer" taste when I first start on a new one. It takes a few to many puffs to get rid of it. One tip that helps....drop several drops one at a time directly into the hole on the battery end...they will absorb in. Just go slowish. Then wipe of the threads. It might still taste a bit odd for a few puffs, but then should even out pretty quick after that. I noticed there was quite a bit of "primer" (for lack of a better word) in the carto from the kit. It DOES go away.
I don't usually let my cartos sit much when I get a new one and fill for the tank. I use a sharp needle with syringe (actually I have the needle on my juice bottle...got a luer lock top for the bottle at GV) and inject some juice directly into the carto (along the outside wall down to the bottom, pulling the needle up slowly as I inject juice. About 3 seconds per side of the carto). Then I do the dropping drops into the battery end hole. Then I fill the tank and prime a bit (take a couple of strong "hits" without firing the button..watching for bubbles from the holes). That's about it. I just go ahead at that point and vape.
I do get the best and most consistent vape using a carto tank. Only times it doesn't work out well is when the carto is a dud or burnt right out of the box.

I've actually done all that...tried boges and many, many other brands and even smoked one for a whole day to see if the taste would go away and it never did...every carto i've ever tried no matter what i did to it just tastes "off" to me. oh well. i assume u use them cuz of the consistency ppl say u get w/ them...ya?

These cartomizers are a different style than the more common cartomizer in that they have a wick inside rather than filler and the holes are much larger.
You can get the pyrex tank from the same site.
Lemme just say if I haven't already said it - I love this thing! Here's hoping it lasts...
Some people have had problems with their Ovale V8, but I have been using the same one for 8 months and it's still working as good as new!
Mine still works too...I think. Its been retired though. When a V8 comes out with variable wattage, I'm all over it!

My Ovale didn't go in to retirement but took a little bit of a back seat for a while. Then I got a new cool Vivi sleeve and glass driptip and charm, tried it on the Ovale, loved it..... And now my Ovale is my main vape again lol. I think we get bored with devices and want to try new things all the time.
I thought I could do the same trick with my almost unused Provari. I got a really nice skin, cool Vivi tank and driptip, and even matching glass charms, but still I rarely - if ever - even take a puff from it. Ovale V8 wins in my book!

Bringin' up an old post here to ask you what that red mod is - second one in from the
right with the red drip tip? Is that a Rough Stack? If so, how do you like it?
And the one along the bottom that is lying down. You have a chastity belt on it?
Yes the small red one is a Mini RoughStack. I love it! A great little workhorse and stealth vape. That is the one I mostly use on flights lol. The one lying in front is a MK II Screwdriver. The vape button is on the bottom, so the cap protects it from being fired accidentally
