well, now i have ovale v8 3rd edition. it has larger and stronger connector. it also no need in 510-ego adapter to use atomizer bigger then 14mm in diametr.
it can show Ohm's and present V at accs. but it's a little bit weaker then version one :)

ТапаТолк... пойми и прости...

Can you clarify 'weaker?' Do you mean it has a less sturdy build or perhaps the electrical power doesn't seem as strong?

sorry, i donxt know how say it in english :( looks like 6.0v at newest burn my atomizer like 5.5 on version 1.
left adjyst button now ''-''
right ''+''
both together - show resistance
fire button - will show voltage in process of vaping, so it's not show voltage you set.
photo of connector below, all that i can find from phone:)
tapatolk makes me cry :)

Maybe they fixed the PWM issue that this and other APV's have had? :?:

To my knowledge, the Ovale V8 only has a range from 3 to 6v....
you're right =)
but, as you might know, V8 uses 2 18350 batteries, output voltage is 3-6v and 'Lo' can come at any voltage.
When it comes? Then battery charge is low =)
That's i talking about =)
sorry, i think my english is too poor =(

Are the Ovale V8's with the resistance reading going to make it to U.S dealerships?

I would have to say - unfortunately - "doubtful." The US distributors I was aware of stopped selling the original V8 because of the high defect/return rate problems they had. If the new version is coming from the same manufacturer... If anything, they might get a couple few units for evaluation but if they see similar issues as with the V8 that will probably be the beginning and end of it.

It truly is frustrating because so many of these products come so close... and after that it's like the manufacturers just don't care. It would have taken so little to fix the repeat problems on the original V8 - like a bit more glue and internal wiring of even a reasonable diameter - but the manufacturer cheaped out and didn't do it. The heavier 510 connector that blocked the gaps in the V8 plastic body was a great thing. But that led to their being two versions of the V8 in the market and you never knew which version of the 510 connector you would get on yours. I bought two from the same US distributor - one has the recessed 510 connector with big gaps in the plastic body where the seams meet, the other one has the flush, heavy duty connector.

The same general issue plagued the E-Power setup. A great idea, being one of the first eGo size PV's where you could replace the internal battery rather than tossing the whole thing out once depleted. But the power switches were plagued with so many problems that a lot of US dealers just gave up after all the manufacturer promises to fix the switches never really materialized. In most cases the "new" switch only had new problems.

We'll see. But I doubt the place I got my V8's from will be carrying another Ovale branded product.

FWIW: My V8's are still working. But most other folks... not so much.
