Im sure your Cloupor box isnt the same quality aluminum as my anodized hex ohm v2.1.

And lets look at Cloupor for a second.

Think you made a mistake my friend , i didn't say i am comparing a Cloupor to some of the better mods , i said are you familiar with it's aluminum construction?

It's one of the most rugged enclosure's you can buy , the Cloupor mod and it's chipset is terrible.

You might not be but I think you are forgetting the title of this thread.

I have devices made of aluminum and i have devices made of Zinc. But i would certainly rather have something made of Zinc like the SX Mini or Reuleaux DNA 200 over a Cloupor. And i would mostl certainly rather use Zinc over the popular aluminum mods like my D2 which feels very cheap. My Hex and my Hana are a different story though.

There alot of Companies out there that make solid devices for good prices and there's some Companies that make so so devices for extreme over price..especially for the quality of the device.. Have you ever run across this..

Of course.
Applies to everything;
but then with a new developing industry you get more exaggeration.

Personally I think price is subjective. Who are we to say something is overpriced for others just because we think it is.
Many think a ProVari is overpriced & lacking features but many of us own multiples of them.

I'm not a snob by any stretch of the imagination but the title of this thread seems snobbish to me.

Who are we to put a price on anything that keeps us off cigarettes?

This is honestly as productive as arguing about a $80 turntable vs. a $1400 turntable.

Not only is beauty in the eye of the beholder, value is as well. Not to put too fine a point on it, but it doesn't matter if you're happy about my purchasing decisions, I'm the one holding the credit card.

Sure, there are some mods I wouldn't consider buying, but that's because they simply don't appeal to me. The reasons are irrelevant. I have my tastes, needs, and preferences, and they will most likely be different than yours.

I sit here typing this with two setups in front of my keyboard. One cost about $100 total, the other just north of $400. They both make me happy, and they both keep me off cigarettes. Why should that matter to anyone but me? As long as I can still pay my bills, keep gas in the car, a roof over my head, and food in the pet bowls, why should my neighbor care?
You right but its not bout you being able to pay your bills or etc..not to get person into a person life of what you can pay..but more on the topic of over price devices..i love hearing aspects and debates..not argument..cause run by this here any there..two stores with the same authentic devices.. One for $79.99 and the other for 119.99 that a bigger difference..the retailer who make the device prices might be different..but its not the manufacturers who causes these over price. It's the stores you purchase from who over pricing devices..

Does it upset you when it happens with groceries too? There's a $1 difference in a gallon of milk at the 2 grocery stores near my house. I simply go to the store with the better price.
Perhaps I should start a rant on the Kroger forum.....

My best vaping friend has over 250 bought mods from £20 to £1500 and about 40 he's made himself and as he says one day his adv can be one of the expensive mechs next day a dovpo his taste in vape changes and he switches between them all. Right now I'm getting my best vape from two so called cheap mods xcube2 and the rx200 both running ss coils and thanks to my friend I've had the chance to try them on mods that cost five to ten times what mine cost and you know what the vape isn't that much better. On some might be a little more consistent and I do mean a little but biggest thing I found that affected my vape wasn't a cheap or expensive mod it was a £7 roll of wire, going from kanthal to nickel to 430 grade ss has made far more difference.

Unlike my friend I vape on a pretty tight budget i diy everything I can so I could be accused of acclimating to the cheap end of things and being happy with lower standards. Trouble is for those who spend big they are as likely to be the same claiming great this and that on so called high end gear because they spent big and don't like or won't accept that spending big didn't get them the advantage in vaping they thought. What I find really funny is snobbery in vaping or anything else I've always found it speaks more to the people then the goods and I love the phrase "China crap" as though only the Chinese make rubbish. Be it Chinese, American, British or anywhere else all can make as much rubbish as they make quality and China has some of the most advanced and efficient manufacturing processes if your prepared to pay for it just like most other country's.

If you think something's too expensive or too cheap don't buy it no one is forced to buy anything but I find if you spend the time getting the build right a good vape can be had on most gear cheap or costly.

Exactly right. A lousy build is just as lousy on a $4000 gepetto as it is on an istick 30.

Can someone explain the point of this thread? :D If you think something is overpriced, don't buy it.

Now how simple is that?
I don't know. All I got out of it is 'my expensive stuff is better than your cheap crap'... blah blah blah!

Yeah, that, too.

My solution for those people is simple also: don't buy cheap crap :)

Ok, I'm done again.
Or expensive crap. Crap is crap...regardless of price. Again, think Vapor Flask Squonk.......no agenda here.....
