Received penelope today. It's working like a champ.

I used the pre made wire in the first coil and it popped. I didn't have any nickel wire, so I stripped some 32 awg wire I had and used it with 32 awg kanthal. It's showing 2.1 ohms. Working really well.

Does anyone of a vendor that sells bare nickel wire in the US?

No complaints here I do notice that the Penny does have different wicking issues than the ODy but if I let it chill a second between puffs the wicking is not ac issue this thing rocks!

If your using single wick that might be the issue, if thats the case use a double wick that way it ill hold more liquid and you can chain vape with no problem.

I empty the penelope tanks moments ago puff after puff :) always good hit.

proteus is made with all the needed details to make it the best thin e-cig in the market cris.
Thanks a lot for liking penelope buddy:):)
So using Penelope for two days now and I must say she's my second love only to my wife!

Love my ody but the size of penelope on my provari mini is perfect....if only I had a nice 14500 small mod to use her on...oh wait I will!

If proteus is half as good as pen (which im sure it will be awesome) it will be a match made in heaven!

Thanks imeo - now off to locate some wick!

imeo stated on this matter not to tighten the top cap so much, just get the oring to seal, and maybe a little extra torque, but dont tighten the top all the way down. this will keep the oring from expanding and making the mouth piece difficult to turn.
Thank you...I missed the post from Imeo and it does work but I'm gonna try to find a smaller ID o ring cause I don't care for the gap it creates.
And on a side note, I have to warn the new vapors out there. If you buy one of Imeo's attys, you won't be vaping just to quit smoking cigs! These things take my morning coffee and vape to a whole new level of enjoyment!:hubba:

I cant remember which thread is which at this point so here goes.
I just went to "refill" Penelope for the first time and the o-ring in the top cap did in fact "grab" the mouthpiece and open the juice control. The tank was almost completely empty so it was no big deal. Also, IMO, this o-ring will wear down from normal use in a few weeks and become less adherent to the mouthpiece.
I do not see this being any problem after some normal use.
I have not opened her up yet to see why the juice control was turning freely yesterday. I am going to wait a day or two until I'm ready for a recoil.

Well, I tried to make my first wick and broke the one wire that I had :(

PM me I will send you some if your out. Then watch Scott, username: igetcha69 on Youtube. His video on the Odysseus. Its the same as Penelope and incredibly easy method. So easy in fact, that Imeo re-posted with his tips to use.

You know what? I happened upon that this morning and was trying to go step by step with him. I looked easy enough. I guess I was rougher than I thought or the wire was more delicate than i realized...snapped it right off!!
Thank you so much.

Don't know about nickel, but you can get silver wire at Michael's (hobby craft store) in the Jewelry/Beading section.

As rox said, you can twist it back together. You will get a lower resistance coil, but it will work. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, here is a great thread for tips on the Penelope. Read post 3. # 27 is very important. And don't worry about being able to do the coils. After a few times you'll be a pro.

I'm using silver and its so nice to work with. I cant believe how workable it is. It is 10 times easier than oxidized Kanthal. Ive been wrapping Ody wicks, for 2 weeks, with some wire I received in the classys labeled NR, and it must be nickle because now that I have silver its like Ive been doing this for years. its great. :2c:

mine happened with the Ody when i turned it it would turn the whole inside including the pin that goes through the bottom to positive i took a screw driver to the bottom pin and unscrewed it so the juice control did not make it drowned out when opening all the way

I had to do the same thing before I even built it the first time. When I unpacked the Pen the center pin and the ceramic was falling out. Which is fine prob from production, but now my issue is because it isn't tight enough or something related to that pin and threaded ceramic

If I understand your issue correctly:

So tonight I built a coil that must be higher ohms than my last as it has good flavor but low vapor. Popped the kick in my GG and cranked it to 10 watts. Huge vapor great throat hit. Is this a small part of what Proteus will be able to do? What I mean is I'll be able to get what I want at the push of a button regardless of whether I built a lr or hr coil? Very cool. I used half the resistance wire tonight thinking I would get more vapor but got the opposite result. Weird.

Hmmm if im correct the proteus is not going to be VW but regular VV so you gonna have to change the settings if you put another atty with a different resistance than what you where using before.

Hi,
Yes you're right, VV. I was just saying that it's going to be very cool to be able to adjust Proteus to the coils we make rather than being so worried about making the exact same coil every time. Im excited for Proteus.
