I ordered some batteries online and they arrived today. The package was opened (made to look like it was during mail process). I don't mind if the post office opened it (well kinda), but I was nervous enough ordering batteries online as it was and was wondering if this is common?
Did it have a label on it? I got one once with a label saying it had been damaged in transit. I've heard of people getting them with labels saying package opened, with a box where they can write in a reason.

Nope, nothing. They were wrapped up and taped in a cushion type material, by the time I got them they were loose and just rolling around in the package.
I've had packages get damaged. If they can't read the shipping label they may open it to look for a receipt so they know where to send it. Or they may open it due to security reasons.

That's fine, I can understand that. Just wish if it was opened it would be done properly and not some of the cardboard from the package pealed away. I rewrapped them and stored them safely.
