Hey all, just to fuel the fire a little more, here's another interesting article from Snus Central NICOTINE LEVELS: Swedish Snus versus American Snus. The article linked from that page is even better. Conspiracy abounds I say :-x!! I guess by the time it's over we'll be thankful to our nannies they even let us have the good stuff !

This might be off subject but I saw on the news the other day that the govt. in Kansas is considering putting a tax on soda. I think they said 10 cents per can. Is there anything else that they can think of to tax us on.

Same is being talked about in Philadelphia. This will be the start of a new wave on taxing anything they can say isn't good for you which, for the most part, is everything.

Once upon a time I had a job with an agency involved in emergency management. Spending all day thinking of all the bad things that could happen led me to start stockpiling important "consumables" like non-perishable food, water, and cigs and having a "fly away" kit stocked in one of those big Rubbermaid totes that I could throw in the back of the truck and literally "fly away" if need be. I'm not stocking the cigs any more, but I can see a snus stockpile in my future... That's my long winded way of saying that I put in my first "spaz out" order a few minutes ago... a roll each of Lab 02, General Mint White, and Grov White. All of which I know I enjoy. I'm planning on making a similar order each payday until we get a better grip on what PACT really means to the consumer. If it's something less than the worst, then I've got a nice tax free supply to draw from until the supply chain fills up again. If it is the worst, it gives me time to look for a job in Sweden. :D

I want at least two more rolls of Offroad Cran los, if not four, but that was true even before all of this PACT nonsense came up.

Feels good....don't it :D. If money permits, throw it in the freezer and don't look back. I ordered from getsnus yesterday and tonight I'll likely make an order for a SnusX bucket from Northerner. The only thing holding me back is the ability to pay off each order when I get the credit card statement. Not only would a interest incurred charge negate the savings, I hate for the card company to get my moola almost as much as the government ;).

That's two of us <CENSORED> credit card haters club, TV. Can you lead me to any threads on the SnusX bucket you mentioned? I use to brew my own beer... but found I was way too impatient for that. A DIY snus sounds like fun, but if it's too much of a PITA, it would just end up in a corner of the garage with the beer making gear. ;)

Here ya go All: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/smokeless-tobacco/72190-make-your-own-snus.html. Sounds so easy, even a caveman could do it. And here's a link to the SnusX: The Northerner, SnusX, Make Your Own Snus :).

So it seems we worked ourselves into a lather for nothing... Someone got ahold of the revised PACT over at snuffhouse and the enforcement and special clauses and sections have been removed.

Basics is the ATF and others are saying "thanks for nothing and no thanks!" No teeth for enforcement, no federal action in those states that took part in BT master settlement..

Maybe I was wrong about the fatfelines this once since they did the nuetering for me.

SEC. 7. SEVERABILITY.

If any provision of this Act, or any amendment made by this Act, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the remainder of the Act and the application of the Act to any other person or circumstance shall not be affected thereby.

SEC. 8. SENSE OF CONGRESS CONCERNING THE PRECEDENTIAL EFFECT OF THIS ACT.

It is the sense of Congress that unique harms are associated with online cigarette sales, including problems with verifying the ages of consumers in the digital market and the long-term health problems associated with the use of certain tobacco products. This Act was enacted recognizing the longstanding interest of Congress in urging compliance with States’ laws regulating remote sales of certain tobacco products to citizens of those States, including the passage of the Jenkins Act over 50 years ago, which established reporting requirements for out-of-State companies that sell certain tobacco products to citizens of the taxing States, and which gave authority to the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to enforce the Jenkins Act. In light of the unique harms and circumstances surrounding the online sale of certain tobacco products, this Act is intended to help collect cigarette excise taxes, to stop tobacco sales to underage youth, and to help the States enforce their laws that target the online sales of certain tobacco products only. This Act is in no way meant to create a precedent regarding the collection of State sales or use taxes by, or the validity of efforts to impose other types of taxes on, out-of-State entities that do not have a physical presence within the taxing State.

Stubby, Thanks for the video. Really good to see 'calmness'. :D

But, darn I still have the situation with my overseas/Northerner orders that I hope work out and they start carrying a lot of what I use here in the states. And that could happen, also, with their US warehouse that now doesn't.

Thanks again for the video.

I did figure out my additional taxes the other night and I'm not so bad in my state...maybe a $1 a can/$10 a roll. There's a great post here: http://www.snuson.com/viewtopic.php?t=8685&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=140 it's 5th post down that leads you to state charts.

For me it was good to know what to expect tax wise. That is correct information, don't you think?
