From what I see there, the tax in MO will only be ten percent. Not as bad as I had imagined.
Thanks Stubby.....I'm sure all snus/snuff suppliers want to keep panic from setting in....That guy seemed pretty level headed! Not sure how much these State taxes will effect pricing but I imagine shipping costs(Generally around $8 from Mr.Snuff and NicotineRush)can stay abouth the same using either Fed-Ex or UPS! Guess we'll have to keep thinking "Happy Thoughts"This is a video from clubsnus on the PACT act. Some good information without any crazy rumors.

I did figure out my additional taxes the other night and I'm not so bad in my state...maybe a $1 a can/$10 a roll.
But WI State tax is 100% of manufactures established price. Don't know how much that will be but it will be a good hit.

A penny is too much for those filthy roach hind-ends!! I hope this gets hung out to dry along with its supporters
. It's not our fault the government can't support its bloated programs....and how is catering to BT capitolism?? I'd be willing to pay twice as much to the manufacturers of my snus before letting those pigs steal more of money. Our government's sense of entitlement isn't going over well with me these days
!!
glad it wasn't worst (although in a year's time, it could be)
Thinking about Stubby, 100% of manufacturer's established price....what's that? It's probably not the price we pay for it. If it's like "manufacturers suggested list price", which it probably is, maybe a $3 can is listed as $6 by the manufacturer. If that's the case, Stubby could pay as much as $9 per can....remember, New Yorkers pay $9-10 for a pack of smokes.....a single pack. How about a carton of 10 packs.......how about a roll of 10 cans? You can see where this is going. The whole thing is wrong. I lived with it as long as I could with smokes, then switched to RYO for a mere $14 for a pound of 'baccy. All was well 'til one day I walk into the smoke shop and my $14 bag went to $45. Yes, it's gasket blowing time for Twisted Victor.
There is quite a lot of discussion about PACT over on snuffhouse. It *appears that though it passed in the senate there were some amendments which according to some rendered it pretty toothless. It now has to be ratified by Congress if i understand correctly. here's hoping it will just die quietly.

I hope you're right about that price thing, Stubby. It'd likely lessen the blow, but a blow it would be. And even worse, that 100% could easily change to a much higher percentage at any time.....how's Wisconsin's state budget looking? To these lawmakers tobacco is an open purse with the whole anti movement to bolster their greedy justification. I know, whining doesn't change things, letters get generic replies and cross-burning on the White House lawn is taken the wrong way......what's a guy to do? At least if I rant on a forum it feels good.
I apologize for the rant, but this doesn't seem like my country any more. It's really been a bummer day, bummer year.
Not the bus!!!!!!!!! Oh, no..
Ha! Me thinks congress is feeling a wee bit of pressure from the tobacco bots, I mean come on do you honestly think BT is not doing it's own fair share of interweb sales?
The bus needs a bit of work but I think its doable. OTD lives just down the road from where it's parked in Oregon (though I don't know if parked is the quite the right term).

BT has been for the bill as the gray market Native American tobacco is cutting into their cut. This bill would make it black market. The house failed to get it to a vote today though they tried. I would have liked to be a fly on a wall when they gutted the Fed enforcement clauses in the Senate. Who was behind that one.
If the treaties, promises and the actual laws of the land are not enough. Which we violated, ignored and wiped our collective rears with was not enough, we oppress and harm the tribes yet again?
