Well first a deck of cards, and one that is not yours for personal use. Usually there is a question being asked and then there is a multicard draw. For the one card draw, in my case; I take the information that I know of the person. What state do they live in, what city, occupation, do they have hobbies, like dogs or cats, things that let me focus the cards onto the person.Hi, I don't want to seem rude or unkind, just curious... how do you do a card reading?

I speak to the cards and let them know who it is that I am asking their daily card for. Daily cards reads only have one card. So I shuffle, without shuffling in the left hand and then shuffle. Rinse and repeat until I feel that the cards are separating from each other, the cards tell you when to stop really. It is going to be terribly hard for me to explain in text, let me see if I can find a good video....

Sorry no good video found so far.... Okay, so the daily card is a one card draw. It tells you what you can look forward to, what to be warned about; for some it is so sensitive they will stay home if the cards warning is there. I do not go that far, and will get out, but with more.... um watchfulness, care in the situations....
So if you had a deck for yourself, and for you alone. You would ask the deck one time. What is my daily card? What is my card today? Something like that and once and once alone, the decks are not stupid, and deal with many and much. You shuffle and cut, shuffle and cut, until you feel this "vibe" for me it is like two of the same magnets pushing the cards apart, for others it will be different. The cards will tell you when to stop.
You make the final cut and turn over the one card, and there you have the card for the day. This is a very basic read, and not something like others, which answer yes and no questions, or am I going to marry, or get a job, or find my love, get a new car, find a new job; or anything like that. Those go into a more vast read like the Celtic cross, ten cards and more if help is needed.

I just find it interesting.
Good afternoon Blue, and glad you could come and save the fort... I was trying to answer a complex question with a simple answer... not being rude to your question people, but it delves deeper than that... and can be overwhelming.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to overwhelm you. You were wonderful trying to explain it to me and I really appreciate.
I personally use the site when I need a quick answer and maybe don't have my cards easily available.....surprisingly I have a couple of those decks and I have even come up with the same card using my real deck and the online.....I like how you can get a quick explanation of what each card means....but there is so much more involved with reading the tarot...so for beginners it a good place to start...
No need to be sorry, seek those who do it, or find books that explain it. Text like this is so hard and with limitations. You did nothing wrong and please do not leave and ask away.
And I guess out of the four sisters, you will find none more with drama than me... I want it this way or that.... lol... no worry though I am the youngest.
I never got to to this when I was younger, and I was always drawn to it. So thank you for being so welcoming.
