You know what I don't like about the A7? -And take this with a big heaping of salt since I've never owned one- that juice feed means no drainage. If that could be cut down to the deck that would be awesome

The A7 is not optimal for the Woodvil... but then, it's not made for the woodvil. It works however, although every time you squonk, you have to clear a bit of gurgle and flood. The other solution I am sending to Pdib does work, but it's not the A7. I'm testing it in the woodvil now with the squonking. I wouldn't buy an A7 for this purpose. Actually, I wouldn't buy a standard A7 at all, from what I've read, they were pretty cheaply made (mine's not).

But if you are dying to buy one anyway, how the A7 works is you squonk, which floods. Then you suck it clear (doesn't splatter into your mouth), and vape a long time as usual. Keep in mind that there's a small tank at the base too, that you can stuff with cotton so you don't have to squonk all the time.

If you can wait a few weeks, you may have a better solution to all of them:). Actually, if you wait a few weeks, you may be amazed.

It works good the opposite way also. Air intake at 2 sides of a small chamber and air path to the drip tip close to coil. That's the way the Hero Hybrid is set up. The only drawback is a good pop will land some juice in your mouth easier and it is a hotter vape (if that is a drawback?). Here are some pics from my old Hero thread. The small opening above the coil leads to the drip tip, just the opposite (in fact the parts are almost identical just upside down) of the bottom air fed Dream and the results are very similar.

so if that is pretty much like an A6 then i presume it can be modded for bf? ... off ta look

yes Alex i like and it is the same thing as the Fatty which i also have on the way.. im such a cheapskate shopping at fast-tech :p

Here's the thing. The Chinese have the molds for something or they don't. If they have the molds, they can make it in ANY material, ANY configuration, ANY color, ANY specs, and tweak ANYTHING they want. I know some people will strenuously argue, but the Chinese don't invest in molds to copy anyone, molds cost a lot of money. There are plenty of things NOT copied. No one's ever copied a Provari, a Samovar, a Zen, a HANA, a REO (talk about easy to copy.. so why don't they? Think about it). Plenty of atomizers too. But plenty get copied. You can extrapolate something from that data.

As far as I know, the A series were originally developed by the Chinese, which would mean all bottom feeding designs were 'stolen' from them originally. Unlike with other types, I don't feel the least bad getting them to make a few modifications to suit our very specific purposes... in a quality comparable to the $50-$100 items.

Fasttech is a different category of goods ... they sell the cheapest possible junk in usually the thinnest crappiest materials. Sometimes they sell seconds. They can beat wholesale prices, but then, you can beat Home Depot tool prices at the Dollar Store too. Does that make the quality the same? Rarely yes. Most of the time no. You will never pay Fasttech prices for good materials, but you don't have to pay HUGE 'designer' markups either.

yeah when i read some reviews i can see that not everything is as its suppose to be but hey my first time ordering rda's from them and no doubt i will be busy fixing things instead of using, but its all good.. i could never afford to buy these things at proper prices as i don't work but atleast i can try them and get the jist of how they work if they work if not then the tinkering will keep me busy and for a small price i have a pocket full of rda's..
its like the trident clone i had.. it wasn't from fasttech but yeah a clone with grandvapour written on it... if it had of lasted me longer i probably would have tried saving up for a real one... but i got my rm2 and cyclone now :)

i'll probably have no trouble modding the rda's for bf lol

who's made an A6 into a BF ? .. was it easy or a bugger to drill a hole or a slit in the centre post

Well, we did. But not the Fasttech one:p

I have bought silica wick from Fasttech is all. Never batteries or atties, because i have seen some screaming counterfeits of both. I once saw an atty that had a little wire soldered from the 510 to the +ve post!

There are decent clone atties you can buy and modify to bottom feed, but it really depends what they are made from and the tooling you have. Stainless steel posts are not going to be joyous if you have no drill press.

Empire Mods is out of stock on both Triangle and A7, I did manage to order another A7 from another vendor to replace the one I sold in a package deal.
The mini at FT just looks too small but the regular isn't much wider (2 mm)

I was impressed at the performance (dated pic)

See, in my mind, when I see a deep drip well like that, I think about the Phoenix Bully I modded for BF. That was when I figured out that I don't like any extra juice in the atty. If I can squonk and soak the wick, with nothing pooling around, getting cooked, and leaving me wondering if I should be squonking again, I'm good. Also too tho, I like a short wick. Having juice pooling somewhere below my coil means I gotta have a wick that pulls it up . . .. which gets back into "wicking action", which reminds me of Genisis, which I'm sure you all know is an origin story that does not end well. Wicking is SO 2012, don'tcha' think?
