Did you check ohms with the atty attached? I always do this so I didn't think to ask. Collapsing a spring has nothing to do with the firing pin, it means you have a short.
Yes. Without Atty and at 510 connection I get same reading as battery. With Atty it drops into the 2's. I have tried different attys and they all read mid 2 on bad REO and mid 3 on good REO.

I mean check the ohms, not the volts. Sounds like something is shorting at the 510 connection. Check the ohms (like .6 ohms) with the atty off and then again with the atty on not firing. If the ohms drops more than 1 digit you got a problem at the 510.
Thanks. Directly above the off on switch is a selection of "200" in the Ω section. Select that and touch the probes together. Now, use the probes like you would to test voltage and get a reading with the atty off the mod and one with it on it. (not firing) these reading should be the same or within "00.1"Ω of each other anyway. Don't worry if these readings are a number or 2 different than the mod you use to check ohms since the inexpensive meters do not have a zero adjust on them. The main thing is that they are the same or real close. If the reading with the atty on the Reo is way lower then the 510 is shorting out and we will address that after you report back.

just want to add here that I hope my post mentioning rob and how some people are fanatical followers and blah blah blah that I hope that didn't come across as anything negative about rob because that was not what I meant at all. I have a lot of respect for rob and think he's a great guy who runs a spectacular business with great ethics. I've spoken to him several times back and forth about a few different things and he's always been kind and helpful and I think he is a really nice guy, and don't have one bad thing to say about him here at all, just want to make sure that my post didn't come off sounding like I meant anything negative about him he has been good to me and I think he's a good person

BTW: Mundy. Thank you for doing all that figuring on the materials and their resistance at the levels we're employing them. If you're correct (which . . . . . how could you not be . . .. it's math . . .. .), it's got me thinking in whole different terms. A game changer in the game I call my mind.
I don't much care about your Ferraris and Lamborghinis and so on - I like the vape from my Dibi and so that comes to work with me. I like the vape from my Reo too, so that comes along as shotgun. To work - to anyplace.
My first impression of the becu spring is i cannot tell the difference between that and a Turbocad-style noaloxed Dibi, except i only noaloxed the base of the firing button, cos then i got tired!

Personally I think this is a great place to talk about the stuff ya'll are talking about. After all the Dibi is a modders mod & ya'll are talking about modding.

I realized in this entire dibi thread that whenever another vendor or product is mentioned it's done so in the highest regard.

Yes - but his question is not a modder's question - it is cleaning or tightening contacts on his Reo, or figuring out which part is needing replacement.
Besides, it would be better posted in the Reo thread, except that all the people that brutalise Reos are here, and you cannot get better than Mr Mundy to talk you through using a multimeter!

What will be interesting is when Rob gets those sub-Ω kits, cos the results look tasty and then it'll get all esoteric! "yes - but i like wood" "oh i prefer hammered metal".

Funny I've always loved cars and dream of one day owning a performance exotic but what's even funnier (not so much really) is I now suffer anxiety when I have to drive or even ride in a car anywhere beyond my town and even some places in my town
I believe the Princess has a Reo, too. Just wait 'til that cat gets her paws on pdib's wood!
