I have said it before, and I will say it again (and I think that I may speak for most of us) Just This: "When my turn comes due, I'd like to have any and all performance enhancements that have been engineered for the OliveR at the time.
Absolutely!

(Silver Rocks).
You know, the pictures of the bog oak one in progress have me thinking about gray/silver colored wood in a way I never did before. I always thought wood should be a warmish color. Or maybe green. Now I'm visualizing some crazy gray/silver colored wood with all the metal in the mod being solid silver. I think I need to stop and take a deep breath. Or have a vape. Or something. :D

=-=-=-=

Another aside: Last night and into this morning I discovered a benefit to a bottom feeder that I'd never previously considered. I definitely have favorite vape flavors, but I can't go very long vaping just one. I need to change up, otherwise my tastebuds get bored; call it a mild case of vaper's tongue if you want. On my desk right now, I have four different mods going, and I never leave the house with fewer than two. But with the OliveR, I can squonk one and drip the other and get a change up with just one mod. Of course, it helps if those flavors are complimentary and don't clash, but I've gotten pretty good at predicting what will mix well and what won't.

I too like dripping complimentary flavors onto bf, and then tasting it fade back to flavor 1.

I am when I say "next run" . . . not so much when I'm saying "curly maple dyed black" . . .

btw: I'm feeling a bit cautious about the curly maple. Those "s" shaped grain patterns look prone to splitting out on the corners. (that's what happened with Scandal's Redwood). However, Maple is tougher stuff, and I've had good success with some curly stuff already. (Scandal's current piece is 1/2 curly Maple and is proving suitable). So, I'm saying Curly Maple is pro'ly fine; but there's really only one way to find out . . . . . .. . . .

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: a.k.a lessons learned

Block size minimum width is 2" and minimum thickness is 1 1/16"

Before buying your block, email the seller to make sure the item meets the "minimum" measurements end to end.

I have a beautiful Honduran Rosewood that's waiting for deportation to the Philippines bec. it did not quite meet the advertised min. 2" width.

EDIT: When Pdib says "minimum" he means ABSOLUTE MINIMUM

I may have a permanent case of vaper's tongue but I don't taste the difference in wire. I don't taste the wire at all. I run nichrome 80 because it has the lowest resistance. With the lower resistance I get more wraps per ohm. It also heats up quicker. More mass and more heat than kanthal at the same resistance. With my dual 12 wrap setup, I hit the button and by the time I bring it up to my mouth to vape, it's ready. And with my air slots almost wide open I get a nice warm healthy tasty lung hit. With a fresh battery, there's no wait.

LOL, this is my ADV, it's definitely not for everyone. I like a nice warm tasty vape with plenty of throat hit and that's what I get with this setup.

.4 ohm.

so . . . . then . . . . . like . . . ... where do you get your 80?

Sorry pdib. I've been gone for a bit dealing with relationship issues (not because of the 3 OliveRs that I'm getting surprisingly enough), but I need to make sure that you know I want every upgrade that you will ever have for the dibi I have, as well as for the ones that are still to be made. The silver looks fantastic!

Just invoice me dang it! ;)

Also, if that curly maple you're talking about shatters like mine did, do him a favor and let him know before he watches the video proof, that his heart might sink if he watches it.
