My go at Mundy magic was frustrating but that was a 100 or so coils ago. Now I have a second rm2 so drilling out the posts of the old one can get going. Also working on a reactor rba. I liked mm when I got it right but that wasn't easy for me then. Maybe I can find some time this weekend between my twins 3rd bday and a mess of yard work. R41 is going good so far though. Definitely a scratchier throat hit.

the René41 is only available in 27g. It's resistance is comparable to 27 Kanthal and 28 Nichrome. Those peeps who have trouble with Nichrome (nickel): sore throat, primarily (i could see how teeth gnashing could be related) have the same or more trouble with René. The René does seem to brighten the flavor profile. I don't use it anymore because it's not low enough in resistance for me, and because of Mundy (MM).

I went through a period of trying every wire type I could get my hands on (not a huge assortment, but a number), and I didn't like any of them but kanthal... that must have been the nickel. Sore throat, and I actually got a cold sore on my tongue that didn't go away for a week!! (I THINK that was the boingy wire) Anyway, decided I needed to do no more experimenting and stuck with 30ga Kanthal... even the 28 ga kanthal tasted kind of bad. I must have a sensitivity to nickel.

I "noticed my throat" whenever switching to a René coil, for the first couple hours. Not a sore throat, just a "noticeable" throat. It would then subside and be gone for the duration. The real frustration with Mundy's wire is that there's no going back . . . . well, short of travelling half-way 'round the world and doctorin'.

Update on the silver contact. It's been what?, 4 days? In my subjective take the surface has become mildly tarnished and disfigured, however the vape continues to prove superior. At this point (and this is totally unscientific) I would say it still hits as good as or better than a brand new brass or aluminum contact. We're looking for something here that gives a great vape without cleaning every couple days (for deep subΩers). Obviously, tarnished silver isn't going to hit as hard as sparkling polished; but does tarnished silver hit really good? So far, yeppers.

my contact in it's current state:

Is that the atomizer contact? I have no idea where that screw is:)

Oops, just read this "Discussion of CO-OP should be conducted here. Conduction of a CO-OP should be here. CO-OPs are not allowed anywhere outside the CO-OP sub-forum. The mentioning of CO-OPs outside ECF is strictly prohibited."

Oops. Damn medic, gonna get us in trouble.

It's not that complicated, is it? Just PM each other and it's your own private deal between friends. It's alot of material, admittedly, but not a lot of cost. I mean, it's really not gonna matter how much you have left over when you ascertain that it's ridiculous to vape.

In it's current form........Muwhahahaha :D
