Hey everyone!

Been REALLY inactive on ECF, but I figured I should stop by.

Mr dibi, I have a few questions. I've run into a few... Oddities. I wouldn't call them problems cause it's still working great.

One of the magnets on the bottom cap came off, and is now stuck to the magnet that's attached to the body.

Not a big deal. It's probably my fault, I dropped it once.. What type of glue do you recommend?

Also, the joint between the two screws and that copper piece under the 510 connection leaks ever so slightly. Is this normal?

Thanks for your help in advance :p

Edit: wow. Sorry pdib. I just found your message from 3/20. LOL.

hey Justin. :)

I was wondering why you hadn't replied. Now I know. Yep, both of your "oddities" (problems) would be super easy for me to fix. I don't know how handy you consider yourself to be. So, let me start by saying you are more than welcome to send it back to me and I'll reattach the magnet and do some maintenance in the 510.

That said, if you decide do venture forth yourself rather than send it back to me . . .. .

super glue will work well for the magnet. Use as little as possible. Any extra will keep the magnet from seating at the same depth it used to be. This will cause your bottom cap to sit a little proud. Have a small piece of wood (or something) and a hammer and a flat surface to tap that magnet home. (don't put it in backwards, or it will repel.)

On the leak. It's probably making it's way down from a worn out (torn) 510 insulator up above. You'd need to replace that. Use a razor to separate the juice feed tube from the bottom nut. Hold the top nut with tiny pliers/wrench and loosen the bottom nut. Remove both nuts and contact leaf. Push 510+post up and out. Put new insulator in hole. Screw the 510+post back in (with fingers). Re-assemble.

Like I said, I can do it for you. Gimme a PM if you want to send it, or need parts.

I think you'll like the KGD. It [IMO] has a cleaner taste.

I've seen super_X's vid on it. Everyone really think it's worth it? I bought 2 bags of organic cotton balls on the local UK economy (Superdrug ...!) which will last quite awhile... but I'm always up for better and better stuff.

Treebeard was the original "finder" of the KGD cotton. I only mention that because he offered me a sample like 6 months ago. I only say that because, when I said "sure", he sent me an entire box of 60 pads.

I love the stuff! Wouldn't use anything else at this point. Unless: (1) i hadn't tried it, or (B) i didn't happen to have any around. But, yeah, it's the best wicking material I've tried.

The KGD is worth it, IMO. Not only does it not have that funky "band-aid" taste that CVS sterile cotton has; it is also grown without the use of pesticides and fertilizers. It is probably the most chemical free cotton available. It's the best choice for discerning vapers.;)

could be.

Justin, did you ever remove your juice tube?

Nope, never have.

I'll take a shot at doing it myself. I honestly can't go back to dripping while it's out being fixed lol.. It's such a mess compared to bottom feeding and my dibi is the only one I got LOL. Did your goody bag come with 510 insulators?

It is the best performing and tasting cotton I've tried. But I don't like cotton, I always burn it so I use ceramic instead.

Yep, cotton is definitely higher maintenance. But here's something that puzzles me.

On any RDA I've ever used, I've had to change cotton every day (sometimes twice a day) and burn the goodly amount of crusty gunk off the coil. The cotton will have that tell tale burnt area from being inside the coil.

But using the same Ω coil and cotton and juice on my kayfun(s), I can vape the entire contents of the tank (over a period of several days) and not have the gunk build-up (very little) and burnt cotton that the RDA has in just a few hours. Could have something to do with the nano-chamber in the kayfun....dunno.

Anyone else find the KGD cotton doesn't last as long? Or is it just me? I agree its the best wicking and best tasting I have tried but for some reason I find a change of cotton is required more often than reg cotton balls. Pretty sure the 162 pad lot I bought will last a few years  so its not a big deal to rewick twice a day... sometimes once a day, depends on the juice.
