Wish I had seen this before you went all HULK SMASH!!! On your atty Lex. I actually made an extractor for my brass caps + brass drip tips some time ago...

1) Take a piece of wood that is about 0.5" thicker than your tip is long.

2) Drill a hole into it that is just a hair wider than the tip.

3) place tip down into hole so that cap rests upside-down on the wood.

4) find a drill bit that is a hair smaller in diameter than the drip tip and place the non-cutting end flat against the bottom of the tip.

5) tap drill bit lightly with a hammer, wooden spoon or rock... Avoid using muffins or glassware

6) pick up wood and retrieve tip from hole

I have about 1000000001 "just the tip" jokes right now, but i'll spare you!

Monkey I think you'll have to build it for her. I don't see her drilling wood or tapping or anything...

Nope, not really a secret. Bill's original recipe called for 10% each. That is great if you aren't pushing too much power (watts) IMO. I upgraded from trident v1 clones on my VAMO V2 and Nemesis clone to the REO/RM2 set up and Mundy's Magic wire, so I dialed it back a little bit, to 8% each.

Thanks for the recipe Bore! I mixed up a 30ml batch and all I can say is "Holy Flavor Batman!" It's very good, right up my ally i love fruit flavors, but like you I also use MM wire. I guess I didnt realize how little flavoring I was using for my watermelon melon blend (3-5% total) 8% of each was a little much for me . I'm running .55ohm MM with RxW. Time to recoil and up my resistance, because you know any excuse to recoil :p .

Did I hear somebody right... Does Gigdujour have a special apple pie DIY flavor?

All this misses the fact that she took care of business.

So the Simian took it's first fall today.... Stupid thumbless paws! About a 3' drop, didn't come apart and not a scratch on it. I freaked! It was all happening in slow motion!

Thank Jeebus it didn't break. I would have been one sad primate.

In other news... Giggy sent me some of this Hg whatever cotton... Do you guys separate the pad and pick the fluff from the middle, or cut a strip off the pad and roll it as-is?

I've always used cotton balls, never pads....

Glad it survived the fall! pdib's list must be pretty long by now, but you would have to wait millennia for a replacement.

I open the pad like a book to separate it into two halves, then cut strips along the fiber grain. Don't know about any fluff, but I am using KGD if that's different from Hg whatever. I think pdib has a pictorial somewhere around ECF, but I don't know where it is.
