It's good to hear that today is a good day for you Mundy! Hang in there, I highly recommend some Netflix marathons on your favorite lazyboy :pop:

If you guys are designing atty's I have a few recommendations:

* Built in (because screw 510)
* Use spring loaded posts
* AFC
* Adjustable Chamber size (either by use of different caps or by something like Turbo's adjuster)

I have a QOPPA Dominator and it has spring loaded posts. I find it much more of a PITA to build on than a threaded one. Unless you're planning to change coils more than twice a day, it really is just a novelty

*Built in?? Please explain

*AFC - OF COURSE!!!!

* Adjustable Chamber Size - Now we talkin!.. Damn Sean thanks for turning on the lightbulb!

I wish you luck too Val! Didn't realize it was a business venture, I thought it was a for- some- profit Dibi venture. Lol

??? My personal DiBi isn't a business venture, absolutely no plans of selling it.

Now as for the atty, . I just get a kick out of creating or being part of creating something that I know everyone will enjoy.

well, in that case, :censored:
:)

sorry D... english is my second language and w/ all the jokes about my lost mod, it kinda gets harder reading about it and reading between the lines.

I do my best to be a good sport about it and just shrug it off, but it starts to sting a bit when I'm constantly reminded about such a loss. I really don't care about the cost but the mod has great value to me. The block that SFM shared, the sentiment of having a twin mod, and Pdib's craftsmanship, and the hours spent on making it by hand - that's priceless to me.

Anyway,

THANKS AND I WUV U TOO!!!

I've wished you luck and am more obsessed with you getting your Dibi than I ever was with mine. It wasn't a joke when I said I would seriously cry if you didn't get this one. *crosses everything* :cry:

Sorry Meg, I must have skipped it. I was getting a bit superstitious the past few days and I really didn't want to see any pics or jokes about my mod so I just stayed away for awhile.
THANK YOU SO MUCH AND BIG HUGS TO YOU!!!

I've been kicking around Ideas for a homebrew atty/mod so I've been thinking about this for a while. By built in, I just mean scrapping the 510 connection and just have screws as posts and nut them directly to the firing pin and -. I mean once I find an atty that I like (adjustable) I never take it off the mod any way, its only one more point of failure which gets gunky and needs cleaning so just get rid of it. That means no more drilled out + pins because you can just have the juice come up from the center of the deck.

Thanks for the heads up on the spring loaded connector, I didn't even know there were anybody actually doing that. I think I'll avoid those.

Here is Turbocads adj chamber post, its really sweet http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/515760-divo-rba-3.html#post12195573

Yeah, I had considered adjustable chamber size. Back when the design had a separate top section of the top cap and a flippable tube section of the top cap (to go from single to dual air holes that way). Remember, VH? We were told that was too expensive or something. Anyway, about that time I picked Turbocad's brain re: adjustable chamber size. There's definitely value to that. T-cad did say, tho, that once he dialed in the size he liked, it pretty much stayed there. (with the exception of big variations in juice type or wikicoil style). Anyway, I digested what all he told me, and decided to go with a chamber size that isn't the smallest; but rather seems to be the most popular. One that provides intense flavor; but not crazy-too sweet-intense.

This atty design is set up to carry over (with some small variations) into an OliveR-dibi with no 510. The atty would seat in/on the grounding plate and be held in place with a threaded nut.

BTW: I'm starting to see a pretty regular pattern here, as I test the mods for v-drop upon completion. This includes tests from previous runs. What I'm seeing is, if no fuse (BeCu Strip) and a brass pos. post in the 510 is the baseline (0.26V dropped on a 0.45Ω coil): a Stainless Steel 510+ post costs about 0.04V (so, 0.3V dropped), and a 10Amp fuse costs about another 0.04V (so, together, SS and fuse is ~ 0.34V dropped). These numbers also contain internal resistance for battery . . .. whole system measurements.

Bear in mind that the #s are on a coil that's under .5Ω; so, as you go up in resistance, the differences will probably decrease substantially (probably . .. . .haven't tested it; but that's the theory). So, at .8Ω, it's probably a pretty small difference. And at 1.2Ω, say, it's most likely irrelevant.

A big part of this is, if there's no positive post going up from the deck, one would have to bore out a much shorter length for the downward journey to juice-feed. If I can keep the total length at or below 20mm (the length of the column serving as juice tube and pos. connection), I'm pretty sure I can drill it pretty much every time.
