Peter that one is just stunning! Is it a dyed piece or is that the wood and what wood is it? (Because I'm not getting a 3rd...nononononono... )

Just get a third if you can afford it! Heck, even if you can't, just do it!

sorry D... english is my second language and w/ all the jokes about my lost mod, it kinda gets harder reading about it and reading between the lines.

I do my best to be a good sport about it and just shrug it off, but it starts to sting a bit when I'm constantly reminded about such a loss. I really don't care about the cost but the mod has great value to me. The block that SFM shared, the sentiment of having a twin mod, and Pdib's craftsmanship, and the hours spent on making it by hand - that's priceless to me.

Anyway,

THANKS AND I WUV U TOO!!!

Ooohhhh.....Val! No, losing your mod is no joke! Please send us pics of it IN YOUR HAND when you get it!

I literally have tears in my eyes! Thank you P! Will respond to PM soon...when I can sort it out!

it's dyed for sure. I think it's stabilized buckeye burl.

Yes, stabilized buckeye burl from Arizona Wood... One caveat. The dye was not permanent and needed to be set?...P, can you elaborate?

With some of the stronger dyes, they bleed off pretty easy. damselle and I were considering "no finish", and part of the reason we decided "finish" was cause I thought it might actually stain her hands . . .. . on a hot day . . . . in the bathtub . . . . .. filled with liquor . . . .. (i.e. just in case).

pdib... Oh... Man... It came out sooooo stunning! And I'll bet it's every bit as baby soft as it looks. Dude, take my money please! :p

And a big thank you to Copterstyle for donating this beautiful piece of wood. :)

:D I'm happy its going to a good home and your thrilled with it. Also My Dibi has a sibling now :p It turned out awesome! I keep seeing a tree on the side. That dang ole bee knows a thing or two about making beautiful mods.

I preferred digitizing to mousing, tentative points over osnaps and really liked deleting rather than erasing.

Since then I've come to love acad, use release 15, have customized lsps and pretty much do everything with one to two keystroke commands modified pgp style :)

I'm just a young buck compared to all you ol' pen an paper guys :p, right out of college at my first real job I had to teach myself acad electrical 2010 (latest and greatest at the time) I just had to comment because I had a similar set up with a 9 button mouse that I mapped to all my most used commands and I also programmed so many lsp routines i was a two key stroke ninja :D Of course this was mostly just 2d cad... 3d cad is a whole other animal (but im learning!) btw autodesk inventor doesn't have a command line, what the hell!
