The magnets had dislodged some time ago, but I never got around to gluing them back. (Well, I did re-glue one in the top plate a while ago.) This morning, I dropped it from counter height onto a soft carpet. I didn't think much of it until I noticed a crack. Just as my tear hit the floor, the wood separated in my hand
Now to dig back and see pdib's CA recommendation so I can put 'er back together. And maybe take the Master's advice about that bottom screw this time.
While I'm at it, I put this scuff mark on it just a couple of days after getting it.

I've never tried polishing CA - is there a secret method? Is it a different CA formula than is normally used for adhesion?
