Looks like you're really having a fun trip! How's the stabilized wood holding up to the temperature/weather variances?

So I have been ordering some of my new drip tips from an up-and-comer in the decorative drip tip arena. He makes 3-piece tips w/ interchangeable cores... I like being able to dress up my tips like i can swap out certain mod doors.

Anyways, i ordered one for the Simian and had requested a matte black core.

What arrived?

The missing dingle-dangle of the Simian!

You can calculate it with R1*R2/R1+R2, but with equal values of resistances it's just half of one of them.

the square hole in the atty base would be the whole challenge to this design, depending on the minimum diameter mill it would have rounded corners

EDM using graphite electrodes can produce rectangular blind holes with with good sharp corners. You make the graphite electrode in whatever shape you want, then you burn the hole into the steel. It's neat process, and it's not even all that high-tech -- the company I worked for right out of college made precision molds that way.

If you were doing it by yourself, no. Now if you had a hottie in the seat next to you that you were sharing the experience with, then definitely.

my thoughts were to use either the one opposite one or the 2 side ones, was thinking more of either single or dual, not so much quads

that center block could also be altered slightly and be made to retain the wire right in the center too, in that case could make 4 neg holes around the block instead

That's what I guessed. I think pdib wants the atty to be as flexible as possible, so he might want quad coil setups to work. Personally, I only build singles, so the simpler the atty, the better it is for me.

Awesome! Glad to hear that. I guess it should do fine in my climate. I can't wait for my turn to come up. It's true that the closer your turn gets, the longer the wait seems.
