I need to charge:

$275 for a standard mod

and

$295 for custom matching

Still a bargain for a mod where each one is unique. Eventually, there may be hundreds or even thousands of Dibis, but no two will ever be exactly alike. Put every Dibi owner in a big room, take all their mod and line them up on a table. No owner will have any trouble pointing out exactly which one is his. How many other products are like that?

Although I have no discernible income, I will pay whichever price you decide for run #2. I lost a business last century and am involved in a (slow) start-up business these days. I WANT YOU TO SUCCEED! For yourself and family.

(and to spite the current anti-business atmosphere in our country.)

Question for all the bottom feeders. What's the topper of choice? I've heard the rm2 and cyclone mentioned. Any other good ones. And I swap tanks several times a day. Since Ive never seen a bf close up how easy is it to swap out juice bottles. I can swap kayfuns while driving, is it that easy with a bf mod?

The RM2 is the easiest to build on and a very good one. I like the Cyclone and just got a Divo that is a very nice small chamber RBA. I haven't used tanks in years, cannot stand the loss of flavor vs. dripping. Not as easy as swapping a tank but not that hard. To make it completely pain free I carry two BF mods so to change flavor I switch hands :D

Edit: I also use a Patriot that I cut a channel in the pin to make it BF. When I want a cloud machine I run dual coils on this.

yeah, that's what I was thinking with these monkeys too. Kubrick and what'chewmayhave

Thank you!

As for pricing man, do not undercut yourself. This is a luxury item that is hand-crafted with care... I have spent over $300 on a metal tube that required zero craftsmanship to make.

Set the price and we will come.

By the way... What run am I in?

Also, to answer the question about the bamboo monkey coil.... It wasn't very good for the amount of effort that went into it.

I cant wait to see my finished mod. It is going to be a jaw-dropper!

Man that looks awesome, is that the gold cyclone or is it just the way the light is hitting it?

That's just the standard stainless AFC cyclone (BF). They are sweet looking without being gold! :)

pdib - Like I said in my 3rd PM to you, "you notice I didn't ask the price". That's because I knew exactly what I was looking at. I would have easily paid 3 or 4 times as much and not even flinched. Being a beta (lucky 0007) made it even more valuable.

When you make my next one you charge whatever you need to in order to run at a "PROFIT".

Looks like I'm not alone in wanting you to be successful. I think the guy making mods of this quality should be eating steak dinners every night if that's what he wants. :)

Trust me folks - you can feel the craftsmanship - they're worth every penny! :)

Folks in run#1 will be receiving PMs tomorrow and Tuesday as per mods completed and ready to ship. Check yer inboxes, Kids. :p

I'm into run#7 on the list, Buddy. MamaTried is more than welcome to list for some more mods (maybe time for a deuce, hey, D.?)

Mundy answered the blank size question. I don't want to be receiving surprise blocks of wood (or anything else, except Smurfy's applie pie) on my doorstep.

Run #1 getting invoiced in February, the list is up to Run #7, I agree with the price, it's still worth the price for exactly the reason that Rossum stated. I will pay $10 - $30 for gear coming out of a factory, even got a Provari at one point just to see what all the hype was about, but this Dibi will be one of a kind, never reproduced again and well worth the money.

Pdib, are we looking at 3 weeks to a month per run? I am in run #5 and need to plan accordingly =] My bday is in May, so it'll be an early BDay present if all goes well =]

All monkeys, anyone monkey-like, ape-like, or otherwise simian, will be found in #3.

Well, I'm estimating 3 weeks per run, and then there's reality. I think your estimate of 3wks-1mo. is realistic. This week, I'm wanting to send #1 and get a tech/spec/info thread started and get something set up in excel (w/ all the current data entered). So, for the sake of estimating finish dates of future runs, lets start #2 on 2/10 and finish it on 3/1. Ballpark.

Being in group #3, this works well for me. I can pay off this Poldiac I just bought hahaha They had a sale (99€), I couldn't resist!
