no - i just made it up, which is about as good and Mike feels better! it was more the repetitive use of ceramic in the question, since i consider ceramics to be ok when i ram a coil on them.

Well, the ceramic in watches aren't like regular ceramics... they are the ceramics the space shuttle tiles are made of for re-entry into the atmosphere. They call them 'indestructible' for a reason... you aren't going to damage it unless you go at it with a diamond saw, they are practically impervious to heat unless you hit them for a long LONG time with a torch, you can't slump it with a normal kiln that only goes up to 2500 degrees F (atmospheric reentry is at least 2750 degrees F), and well, you can't hurt the stuff without extreme effort.
