cross posting this from the woodie thread just in case any of you didnt see it there,
Hello all,

I see some comments here so please let me explain myself. As you know , I am a die hard reo fan and avid reo user. I have bought and sold many reos in the ecf classies and have always given good deals and not flipped or "profiteered" as you can see my feedback score here. I prefer subohm vaping and thats why i have a didbi oliveR already and why i use reo grands. I also like wood mods and ive had bogger boxes and wooden puzzlebox mods so i wanted to try a wooden REO which i had never had before.

I bought 2 18650 woodvills and one mini woodvil last week. I tried the jatoba 18650 and i didnt like the way it hits- i love the beauty and craftsmanship of it but i didnt buy it to look at it , if im not going to use it i cant keep it.
I have decided that subohm is the only way i can stay satisfied with vaping and with a new baby here , i cant have all these beautiful mods just sitting around unused. I will be needing a low profile grand and at least two of the new subohm kits when they come out so i figured i would sell the woodvills and use that money towards the subohm kits and lp grand upcoming purchase.

The day i wanted to list for them for sale, i was going to put them here in ecf classies but i could not logged into ecf - it said to change my password and then it still wouldnt let me log in so i could not post them here. I had never even thought of posting them on ebay before even though i had sold billetboxes on ebay before. Actually , a fellow reonaut (i wont call out anyone here)recommended to me to that i sell them on ebay.

So I posted two of the three woodies and some of my other metal grands on there. I started the auctions for all my reos at 99 cents yes i have a reserve because i refuse to lose money on them , as long as it covers my ebay final value fees and paypal fees , im fine with that but as you know - if a bidding war breaks out , they may sell for whatever the bidders think its worth. I think starting them off at 99 cents is fair and is not flipping - i am not setting the price - the bidders decide what they want to pay and that doesnt mean im looking to profit or flip them. I did set a crazy buy it now price on the billet box but when i use the buy it now feature (which i didnt on the reos) i usually always do that on all my items - thats my way of saying, hey id rather the auction play out to the end but if your crazy and want to pay a crazy price go for it and illl end the auction now but i started that auction at 99 cents too.

i did make a mistake when listing the jatoba - i was using the saved item template tool on ebay and i had previously entered the info on the curly oak woodvil which is unwrapped and brand new - it pasted the same info in the box and i didnt catch that , as super x pointed out , the bottle clearly has juice in it so its not brand new. I have apologized and corrected that info in the auction listing.

I love my reos and i have received a lot of great help from fellow reonauts here like superx, pdib, darkzero etc. Ive bought and sold many reos here on ecf and i havent made a profit on any that i remember anyway. i was surprised to see some of the comments here about this - im not doing anything wrong or immoral and im sorry if it upset reoville .I really didnt think it was wrong. I couldnt get logged in here to post them here so i posted them on ebay for 99 cents. If im not going to use them , i cant let them just sit around. and to the one poster - yes i already have a dibi oliveR and it does subohm so no it is not on ebay but if i decide i dont like it then i will sell it either here or on ebay and i think its my right to do as i wish with my mods.Im sure many of you have sold cars, electronics , whatever that your not using and sometimes you make more from it than you paid for it and sometimes you dont but if you dont need it you sell it - whats the difference here? I am willing to hear any feedback and take any suggestions you may have. Respectfully, divemedic

could you PM me the Cliff's Notes? :)

Well, you guys probably already do it:p. I wrote that out for newer people in the coop, but just pasted it here. And hey, I still don't have a dibi, but I jumped into it before I had any bottom feeders because it was lovely. Someone might jump in here who doesn't have any RBA and think they all taste bad because they didn't clean them (you don't clean clearos or cartos before you use them).

Plus, my way to clean is easier than some:). It's just boil, soap, vinegar, vinegar + hydrogen peroxide your RBA. I just linked some helpful tools and where to get them too:p.

I completely agree supertrunker it seems some people think these are like children or something and cant ever be sold or traded . mamatried refered to me basically as scum for selling them but I just don't understand why its wrong to sell them if im not going to use them. I know some people have dozens just sitting around to look pretty but I dont buy them to collect, I get them to use and if I dont use them I sell them . I was surprised at some of the comments about me so I thought I would just explain why and how I was selling them

Why is it anyone's business what you sell or where?

I saw a Caravela for sale last week for $999 and about fell out of my chair!

(that's poetry there)

Some people seem to care, I don't really. Except with the BB in particular, it's expressly stated that if you sell your BB, you won't be allowed to buy another (NO FLIPPING!), and one guy just posted last week how upset he was that he was denied the opportunity to buy a BB for having bought too many (I think he bought 3, 2 for friends).

There's been several posts on the BB thread about how horrible 'flippers' are... and every time someone posts a BB for sale, someone says something. BB's are only $179, but I've seen them on FB selling for $2500 and $500... so Divemedic's $699 wasn't even that much profit. I just thought it was curious because someone else posted that he had ALREADY sold a BB before. This is kind of amazing given the community response to selling BB's, so I was curious.

But, I just posted on the BB forum that I don't see why people can't sell their BB either, if someone can't get a BB, buying it from someone who doesn't want, doesn't use, or needs the money for theirs is another way of getting them than the current EXTREMELY difficult process of getting one. They don't have a list for a BB. You have to get 'lucky' when they mysteriously appear on the website, at which point people, who in some cases have been trying for months, snag them from your cart in 30 secs.

Oh... had another thought... did you wash your plastic bottle, and wipe down the rubber tubing in the woodville before you put juice in it??

No...

It tastes like my juice plus the varnish that is very strong smelling, or maybe the oil on the wood inside the door. Washed bottle and tube so we shall see when it all dries, but plastic being what it is it sucks everything into it...need to try some vaseline on the inside. Thanks GG! :thumb:

And it isn't like machine oil. Had that happen once, it was like vaping a skunk's pee... :glare:

Yeah! (that's good stuff, huh?) :) I like vaping that for the TH. :toast:

Lemme know if you ever put that mod on e-bay, Kogijiki. I'd bid on that one!

If that doesn't work, try washing and using the spare bottle that came with it...some people are more sensitive to smells and tastes than others. Plastic can absorb smells and tastes, and perhaps because that bottle was shipped inside the Reo, it may have absorbed something.

What finish is your Reo?

Also, I think we'd all like to know how it is you know what skunks pee tastes like?

Something I'd been wanting to mention re: the centerpost and adjusting it. I've found it to be very much worthwhile to have the right size screwdriver for this adjustment. One that actually nests well into the slot. Pretty much all the slotted screws on the mod would do well with the right sized bit/insert/tip, as both brass and aluminum are relatively soft and damage easily.

You get'chew summin' like this . . . .

i have to have right handed screwdrivers. HRH has her own tools but the instructions are in Dutch and so i risk a telling off if i misuse them.

I have already pointed out that i doubt you need to adjust the centre post. I set ours up for the batteries is all, i use the same batteries all the time and HRH gets my cast-offs! hehe! She's not into sub-ohm vaping anyway, a fact of which i am only too well aware as i sit here remaking 4(!!) coils for her.

Just because the buy it now price is 699 doesn't mean it will sell for that. It was listed at 99 cents the buy it now price is my way of avoiding people emailing me asking how much to end the auction early. ? Thats my way of saying i dont want to end it early but if youre crazy enough to pay that I will as far as the company's policy of 2...if you have the right connections or if you buy and trade for them from other people, you can get as many as you want

I had the same thing with my poly reo, not sure if it's just the smell which is a big part of taste really I think, or if it's more actually "into" the juice. it tasted like it was "into" the juice though, weather it actually is or not. I stripped my poly down to get rid of it :)

Having worked in a few cabinet shops, I can tell you all that the dilemna of finish gassing off is a real headache (no pun intended). Depending on circumstances and finish, an item can have no lingering odor after two days or two weeks. Folks are eager to get their stuff. Having product sitting around, taking up space, at risk of damage VS on it's way to the end user seems painfully pointless. Unless there was an issue with the catalyst (the "kicker", the drying agent), the finish is bound to gass off completely in a relatively short period of time. Were I on the receiving end, I'd remove the bottle, take the door off, and let the thing sit out with some air circulating at room temp. until no smell.
