If that doesn't work, try washing and using the spare bottle that came with it...some people are more sensitive to smells and tastes than others. Plastic can absorb smells and tastes, and perhaps because that bottle was shipped inside the Reo, it may have absorbed something.

What finish is your Reo?

Also, I think we'd all like to know how it is you know what skunks pee tastes like?

It's an oiled and varnished woodville. I love it very much. The only criticisms I have is the taste of the wood treatment and the squonk hole. I like Pdib's better...and his doesn't smell LOL My whole room smells like the varnish/oil. :(

My woody! (again probably)

Question for MoN... your bloodwood was natural or poly'd? After the poly post from Megan, I started sniffing my mods, and I noticed that the bloodwood was perfumy... but that MIGHT be because of my juice (trying out Alpha Manchu). I'm talking about the natural wood one with no poly on it. I've been sanding down my poly'd one with 600 grit (decided 1000 grit wasn't strong enough), but not down to bare wood, so I don't smell it on the poly'd one. Do you notice a smell for your bloodwood?? It's extremely faint, and I'm smelling the back of it, but it's a bit floral...

Double ditto what PDIB said about letting it air out...the tung oil finish, in my experience, takes the longest to finish out-gassing, as the finish is in the wood, not on top of the wood.

The CA finish PDIB uses finishes out-gassing very quickly... My brother in law uses it on his turnings, and the smell is gone in minutes.

Hush yoself! I'm partial to the walnut as well and I'm in RUN #5! LOL

Well, the good news is that I finally got some Juice Mania Turkish tobacco and some Heather's Heavenly Vapes Legend in my Reo mini and it's soooooooooooooo smooth. OMG, so delicious =] I intend to reserve the walnut Dibi in run #5 to my tobacco vapes and the hot red mini Reo for my other juices.

This BFing is really magnificent. The flavor of a dripper but the ease of squonking... I can't believe I've been vaping since 2009 and I just got into BFing... what was I thinking? I can't imagine the organizing I'd have to do to put the rest of my gear in the classies, so I am ignoring it for now... so much bought and tested, searching for the perfect vape and here it finally is...

Both my blood woods are natural ( tong oil) finish outside, mineral oil inside. And I already notice the tong smell dissipating...

I don't smell any Tung oil. The bloodwood smells GOOD. I don't think he used any Tung oil on mine... the WOOD on mine smells. Of course, I slathered mine with Vaseline (yes, I used Vaseline instead of pure tung oil), which may have pushed the Tung oil deeper into the grains so the wood smell came out? It's very curious, but MAYBE it's the juice smell tainting the wood smell that makes it so sweet and floral. The polyurethane one, which is sanded but not completely, still smells like polyurethane (but it didn't smell really strong even when I got it). I was just wondering if you noticed it, since you have bloodwood too. I've never smelled bloodwood before, so I have no clue what it should smell like, but some woods are stinky.

Yeppers, I've mentioned this a number of times elsewhere; but I've got new peeps here, so I'll repeat myself.. . . . . . .

You know who turned me on to the BF? Supe did. Did you know tho', that I was trying to offer him some XC-132 wicking to try it out, and he said, "I've got a better idea. Why don't I send you a REO Grand and an RM2 to try that out?" (I paraphrase, and yet, I use the quotey dangles.) So he just up and sent me a Grand with an RM2 on it. I was hooked, immediately and permanently! He said if I didn't like it, just send it back, no worries; and if I wanted to keep it, he'd cut me a real good deal. Which he did. :)

It's supposed to have a faint, pleasant, "floral" fragrance, that bloodwood is.

Wow... that's what I thought from smelling it! I wanted the rosewood one for the scent, but 'settled' for the all bloodwood because it was my 3rd choice, as the rosewood was gone and I already got my 1st choice (bloodwood birdseye). This one is a bit different smell from rosewood, but it's REALLY nice, though I suspect it's also picking up some of the juice smell too. I'm going to sand my bloodwood/birdeye to bare wood now!

I hit the natural bloodwood with 1000 grit, mine came with a bit of smeared polyurethane on it, so I had to get that off, but with 1000 it's sooo smooth and satiny now. The longer I have it the more I love it (the natural one). With all the rubbing sanding and finishing, it is now UNBELIEVABLE looking.

And I'm with Lisa... I'm loving the bottom feed too!! Refilling a Kayfun is a nightmare by comparison!

Speaking of non BF's, you still got that spiffy Ucan hybrid you made? I almost got a Ucan to do that mod, but always got sidetracked and then you smug BF'ers got me hooked and I never did.

pdib, imagine our paths never crossed and you continued to suck the chrome offa them tube steaks and rather than invent the OliveR you invented a drip tip that was made of semi rigid silicone and shaped like the head of a pecker and you became an overnight sensation and got wealthy because all the tubesteakers wanted multiples.

I'm real glad I sent you the BF setup.

Those of you either vapin on, waiting for or dreaming of your very own OliveR owe me big time :)
