Stupid question. Why Noone uses those metal bending things as an alternative to springs. Since you have a fuse and all. I used to see those in electrical toys when I was a kid. They should have better conductivity no?

Depends on the battery contact itself. Some are good and some are crap. I think that might be what Rob is going to for the Grand, but that is just my guess so don't quote me on it. I believe these battery holders are the ones bap robs the contacts out to replace the ones in the double battery holder for the Tibs

I will ask, tho. Who is "no one"? (i.e. which mod?) Other mods don't have a fuse, and mine doesn't use a spring under the battery.

Well yeah I dunno I meant modders who use a bad spring that is not for safety. And I thought we might be using something similar in the switch itself as well.

I did the fuse mod on my reo the other day and I think it is a safer option to increase performance of the reo. :2c:

edit: I may be misunderstanding you, my bad if that is the case. :toast:

So far, the bogOak is pretty good. It has a tendency to want to split along its fibers, which may indicate a bit of weakness under the squonk hole. But I grabbed that lip and gave it some serious pressure . . . and it didn't deflect, creak or snap. The bottom cap may be a bit more prone to snapping as well; but not by enough to stop me.
