Beating search engines to submission.. Your googlefu is powerful

I've tried searching 18650 charge rates, but no significant results. I'm specifically looking for the charge rates of Efest 2000 mah and Sony Vtc4 2000mah - If I could charge them at 2C (4A) that would be great, but I'll settle for 1C.

Sorry Ida got these for you sooner, but I just got back from dinner.

Hey Alex, I don't know if I'm understanding this right, but does this mean I can charge it at 8A and be fully charged in 15 minutes?

I came up with 2A max in a bazillion sites.

Agreed. But the real question is: Once one has a bottom-feeder, is one required to foresake all other types of vape gear?

The reason I ask is that I don't currently envision myself giving up my dna mods or my R91 and KFL+. :D

No not required, but I didn't see myself forsaking my 4 Hero Hybrids when I got my first Reo.
Nor my Reo Grand when I got my OliveR.
But the Hero's sit lonely now and the Grand comes along for the ride but watches, waiting for my OliveR to displease me, almost whimpering, so I give it a toot now and again.
I am sending you the Jedi mind trick "Those aren't the droids you are looking for" "Take one of those DNA30 boards you just ordered and make a bottom feeder" :p

Well, I too couldn't wait and will probably have a bottom feeder sooner rather than later. So I ordered up a Cyclone to go with it. No AFC cap 'cause I can't find one in stock in the US. Question is, should I also get an RM2?

Wait, nevermind, it's a moot point; there are no RM2s in stock.

What is it with this industry? I own a Russian 91% because I couldn't find a KFL+ when I wanted one. (Yeah, I ended up getting a KFL+ later when Vaperev had 'em in stock for a short while, but if I wanted a second one now, guess what? No can do! I understand having to wait for a custom-made, hand crafted item like an OliveR, but atomizers? Come on, they're made on CNC machines. Can somebody please whack the purveyors of decent gear upside the head and tell 'em, "You can't sell bread from an empty truck!"

Damn you, I never really wanted a 3D printer before you said that....

Check with rob. The site was showing no LP rm2's in stock for me today but when I called with another question he confirmed they did have them after all.

Not as far as I'm concerned. I love my bottom feeders but I also love my Cronus and EA clones and Touchwoods for dripping when at home. I don't mind dripping into a cyclone or a IGO-S one bit when I'm at home or even sticking a .8Ω kayfun on them for out and about. The satisfaction they bring is worth the small price of dripping (or fiddlin' with a kayfun tank once in a while). My pdib mods are a joy to own and vape on and my reos usually go with when I'm on the go. All of the above make me happy and keeps me off the ciggys. So.......thats just me......:tumble:

RE: chargers
I have the intellicharger i4 (for over a year) and the xtar vp1 (3 months). Stellar performance from both. I gave the intellicharger to my son and his GF cause I didn't need 4 bays but it has been a jewel. The xtar has a nice little display and variable charge rates and some nice safety features. I feel confident that it isn't going to burn my house down if I leave batteries in it over night.:D

Yup, that's the same way in the RC hobby but no one charges at the minimum rate. I'm starting to have a large collection of 18650s now that I thought, "what the hell, I can ruin a few in the name of dumb science" ..... famous last words.. GIT R DONE!!!!

You can always jump-start your car but trickle charging is always better for the longevity of the battery. Same applies to ecig batteries. They will take the charge faster but but they will not last as long if you do. I would never go over 2 amps even if they can take it.

So after three months of unbelievable trouble free usage of my OliverR, I blew the fuse. And I mean daily no tweaking, no fiddling, just battery changing and juice filling 90 days of total satisfaction.

I have no idea how or why, but it blew. I was using a .8 ohm coil. In between vapes it just stopped. ???? So I went searching for my 10amp fuses and of course I cant find them. But what I did have was some small PTC resettable SMT fuses. So I took two, soldered them in parallel and wire them back in. These suckers are tiny. They are 3 amp trip, so I get 6amps of protection. Good for at least a .7ohms coil at full charge. They fit right into the fuse notch that dibby built in to the body.

NICE!

How do you reset those things anyway? Little pinprick in a tiny hole? Microwave on low for 10 sec.? Therapy?

I know you just happened to have 3A, do they sell 5A, 10A at similar sizes?

OH, I see, they seem to go up to 6A.

I don't know if I can solder those. I'm not good with soldering.
