Just looking at them, they appear to be full wood w/ no metal core. One good drop and that tip is going to snap right off of the base.
I would highly suggest asking Mr. Bumble Bee to include some scrap from your mod when he ships it to you.
Take that and get with Brian over at driptipdesignz to utilize your wood as an inlay on a solid core. His work is incredible.
Here is a brass w/ carbon fiber inlay he did for me:

On A different note - I just got a shiny new silver contact in the mail. Too bad I didn't have time to put it in before going to work.
Cool stuff to do tonight.
And a fresh batch of some of that BIONIC juice. Can't wait to try the Countryside. Yummmm... smells good.
