Here is a GIF I made of a few of the expensive pics I had taken the other day.
Seems I have a major blow out. :(
("Incisional hernia in the epigastric region which contains peritoneal fat as well as a loop of small bowel" In Doc terms)
1st surgery week after next. :(
2nd surgery depends on recovery time from first. :(
Doc says it is dangerous and no physical labor now till probably the end of the summer. :(
Good part is the report said that my lungs were clear. :)

If I'm looking at it correctly, it starts from the top going down the pelvic area. So that would be the fatty area of his back

I hope everything turns out ok Mundy! Congrats on the clear lungs! It's one less problem to contend with.

Then what's this? Or do we want to know?

Oh no! I'm not sure I even want to know what all that docspeak means, but I wish you the best.

Glad about your lungs!

Second night in FL. OliveR on night stand as usual. Woke up this morning, picked her up to vape and DNF again. Tried several times; no joy. Put her down, unplugged dna mod from charger, vaped that, spent some quality time in the bathroom, came back, tried again. She fired, but a bit reluctantly at first, then better and better, and she's been working fine now. I deliberately didn't haven't pulled either of the caps off so as not to disturb anything.

I'm puzzled. Whatever is causing this isn't the firing button; that got cleaned and upgraded yesterday, so it's gotta be one of the other contacts. The question is, which one?

Yes, I have air conditioning, so the humidity isn't outrageous. But I am this close to the ocean and everything made of metal corrodes like mad here due to the salt in the air. Of course that's much worse outside than inside, but even inside, brass and copper develop patina much faster here than anywhere else I've ever been....
I had the same thing happening with my mod...i turned the center screw down until the bottom cap just moved a gnats wisker. {i didn't use the same screwdriver MON did} and it completely solved my non firing issue. I didn't need to readjust my copper 510 contact as it was still making fine contact on the center pin. Been working fantastic after making this slight tweak.

Rossum, if you're in my part of FL
Nope, other side. Where we have actual waves and a breeze. ;)

don't bother looking for Noalox at Lowes. They have some sort of crappy substitute right there on the shelf that the site claims is Noalox. At least it was crappy for my SS mods. Radio Shack has DeoxIT here. If they don't where you are, a musical instrument store might carry it. You might also want to consider NO-OX-ID "A SPECIAL", though I've never seen it in a B&M. It works very well and is much less expensive than DeoxIT if that's a concern.
Well, I ended up pressed for time and didn't make it to Lowes or Radio Shack. I did buy some 1000 grit sandpaper at the auto parts store, but honestly, all the metal bits look clean; the Eezox (gun cleaner) I've been using on 'em seems to be doing its job keeping corrosion/oxidation at bay. The biggest problem with that stuff is I think the solvent in it loosens the superglue holding the magnets in, meaning I have to be more careful with how I apply it.

I just fooled with that some. I'm pretty sure it was adjusted properly, producing an almost invisible gap to the bottom plate, but the nylon screw that pushes the top copper leaf contact onto the brass center screw may not have been doing its job; I cranked it out just a bit.

I also did a bit of dressing with the 1000 grit paper and re-applied Eezox. We'll see what tomorrow morning morning brings.

I got that block from bad dog at burlsource.com (not burlsource.us). He had next to nothing in the right size available but had just gotten a shipment in when I emailed him (lucky me!), so I bought it sight unseen.... I'm glad I did.

It looks nice, and pdib is trying to make the matching caps and button for me so, fingers crossed. :D

Oh , yes, he has nice stuff, but most are too small for us. He's about two towns over from me, so I plan to stop in at his shop sometime.

Wow I actually liked that, nice find kogijiki! Good thing the dibi is a personal vaporizer and not an ecig :D

So are you allowed to vape 0nic juice in NYC? Without the nic the device doesn't fall under the FDAs scope of a tobacco product, right?
